Earlier this year, The Great American Family released a movie titled “JUST IN TIME,” starring Laura Osnes. The actress described the Easter movie as a “True Redemption Story”, fitting with the Easter holiday which honors the death and resurrection of Christ for our sins.
“What I love about this story and what makes it so compelling, especially at Easter time, is that it’s a true redemption story. I think it’s all about how even in the most hopeless situations God can show up and turn it into something beautiful,” Osnes said.
The movie is centered around Hannah, played by Osnes, and her husband Rowan, played by actor Greyston Holt. The plot is based around the couple who “have focused all their time, energy, and attention into trying to have a baby. The pressure to complete their family starts weighing heavily on their relationship. The couple is left questioning if having a child is the right thing to do and if they are still right for one another.”
The summary of the plot adds, “When Hannah receives a call from a stranger, named Franklin (Bryant), who claims to have discovered an antique on the beach bearing an inscription unique to Hannah and Rowan, she reluctantly agrees to meet him to look. Franklin is certain the watch is a long-lost heirloom from Hannah’s family. In the end, Franklin’s patient approach helps Hannah see that the answers to all she seeks will be revealed in God’s time.”
Osnes shared an update on Instagram, detailing an “opportunity” on the picturesque Vancouver Island. “God jump-started 2024 with an opportunity to film a beautiful new movie on Vancouver Island. Tho we battled snow and some frigid temps on set, I pinched myself every day, so grateful to help bring the meaningful story & message of #JustInTime to life for all of you this Easter season,” Osnes wrote on a recent social media post.
She also touched on developing close bonds with new people on the projects she is working on. “Everything happens so fast on these projects, and developing camaraderie & trust with new people in sometimes just a day or two is never guaranteed. But thanks to the multi-marvelousness of this leading cast, chemistry was instant and effortless,” she further stated.
Last year, The American Tribune reported on how the Great American Family (GAF) had become the “fatest growing network” on cable television. According to reports at the time, “Great American Family closed out Fourth Quarter 2022 as the fastest-growing network in all of cable television. In only its second year, the emerging leader in original Christmas movies ranked #1 in Total Day ratings growth in households (+113%), People 18-49 (+100%) and Total Viewers (+116%), and #1 in Primetime ratings growth in Households (+128%) among all cable networks.”
The report further detailed the rapid success of the network, highlighting the seasonal promotions throughout the year that focus on wholesome values. “In addition to the fast-growing Great American Christmas franchise, the network features year-round seasonal programming events, including Autumn Harvest and Great American Winter, which feature original movies celebrating faith, family, and country.”
