Just a day after he preached about God letting “bygones be bygones” an Oklahoma pastor was arrested for alleged sexual battery and kidnapping. Enoch Ankiwale, the pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God Oasis of Love Parish in Midwest City with his wife, has been arrested on suspicion of allegedly groping several workers at the cleaning company he owns.
According to local news, several workers have quit in fear. One woman alleges Ankiwale grabbed her from behind, called her “beautiful” and groped her. The woman says he trapped her in a bathroom, pushing her against the sink while she repeatedly said “no.” The victim says she attempted to elbow Ankiwale in the head, but he managed to grab her arm and block her.
The pastor allegedly licked his lips and said, “Durex,” referring to the condom brand. Several other workers have come forward. All allege that they’ve left the leaning business over Ankiwale’s groping and unwanted lewdness. A day before he was arrested, Ankiwale ironically preached forgiveness. “Don’t focus on your past,” Ankiwale eerily said. “God says let bygones be bygones.”
Some of the victims report they received apology texts from Ankiwale, with one being sent “sorry, sorry” repeatedly from him after allegedly engaging in forceful sexual behavior. The disgraced pastor was charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count of kidnapping after his arrest by Oklahoma City Police He posted a $75,000 bond and been released.
Earlier this year, we reported on an Arizona pastor who has been arrested for secretly recording videos of women in the church’s bathroom after the camera fell out of a dryer, according to police. Arturo Laguna, a pastor at the Casa de Adoracion in Phoenix, is alleged to have hidden a recording device in the church bathroom last fall. Police say he recorded women in October and early November.
The disgraced preacher was caught after a mother discovered the camera while changing her baby’s diaper inside the strip mall church’s women’s bathroom. After authorities confronted the pastor with screenshots of Laguna adjusting the camera inside the bathroom, he admitted to having put up the camera in October. Authorities found evidence on the camera’s memory.
On the camera’s SD card, police uncovered four short videos of adult women using the bathroom, according to the outlet. He was arrested and charged with multiple counts of voyeurism which is a felony in Arizona. We recently reported how megachurch pastor, Gabriel Mills was recently arrested and charged after multiple alleged incidents involving nude photos. Mills, who was recently fired as the guest experience pastor at the Kenosha, Wisconsin campus of Journey Church, pleaded not guilty to two counts of capturing an intimate representation without consent.
The allegations against Mills claim that during a group meeting at his home, the former pastor had allegedly sent a private photograph of a female congregant to his phone while helping her husband download an app on his phone, where he found the image. The female congregant and her husband subsequently filed a complaint to the police department.
