Franklin Graham, son of famed evangelist Billy Graham and successful evangelist in his own right, has been hosting a series of revival events along the southern border, bringing hundreds of people to God in events throughout the border states. Recently, he did so at events in the Arizona desert and in the city of Chula Vista, California.
Posting about the Arizona visit on Facebook, Rev. Franklin Graham wrote, “We witnessed an incredible night in the Arizona desert as God moved in many hearts and lives. It was the 9th stop of our God Loves You Frontera Tour, and we were thankful to see over 7,600 people pack into the Yuma County Fairgrounds to hear the Gospel proclaimed. Hundreds came forward at God’s invitation to confess their sins, surrender their lives to Him, and believe on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ.”
Continuing, Rev. Graham quoted the Bible, saying, “The Bible tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9). What a promise!” He added, “Saturday night I’ll be preaching in Chula Vista, California, for the 10th and final stop of the tour. I hope that you’ll be praying and that everyone in that area will invite their friends and come!”
That event was another wonderful revival that brought hundreds more to God. Such is what Rev. Graham announced in another post on Facebook, saying, “We brought the final stop of the God Loves You Frontera Tour to Chula Vista, California, tonight. Nearly 6,000 people filled the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, where I shared about the one thing that has the power to save our souls—the blood of Jesus Christ.”
Quoting a different Bible passage and explaining it, he said, “‘But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.’ (Isaiah 53:5) This message of God’s love for us is what I came to share along the border, and we thank Him for the hundreds of people tonight who responded to God’s invitation to put their faith and trust in His Son, Jesus Christ.”
Then, explaining the huge scope of the tour and how many people came to Christ during the events across the border, Rev. Graham said, “After 10 cities and 1,500+ miles, the God Loves You Frontera Tour is now over—but for thousands of people, their new lives in Christ have just begun! Would you join me in praying for them and all that God is continuing to do along the southern border? A huge thank you to all of the churches that partnered with us for these outreaches and the incredible Christian artists who ministered on stage in each city. We give God the glory—great things He has done!”
