Sunday, Dr. Steve Caudle called for violence against Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency. The woke pastor said Musk’s and the DOGE’s actions would necessitate a violent reaction. The pastor argued that Jesus himself was violent, so He would support these actions. Even after the pastor was swamped with negative reactions, he refused to apologize.
In a clip posted to X, he said, ” I was talking about the passage out of the Gospel of Matthew the 11th chapter, the words of Jesus, not my words. “When he said, since the time of John the Baptist, the King of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Online commentators pushed back on his dangerous rhetoric, but the pastor remained resolute.
Critics included Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp, who said it was “totally unacceptable for Rev. Caudle to use the pulpit to justify violence against the Trump Administration and Elon Musk. Hateful rhetoric has no place in Hamilton County, especially from a pastor. I have asked for his immediate resignation from the Regional Planning Commission.”
“DOGE and the efforts of Elon Musk to make the federal government more efficient and accountable have the overwhelming support of the people of Hamilton County, TN,” he added. “In fact, we have already launched a DOGE-inspired task force to eliminate waste in Hamilton County Government.” However, Dr Caudle brushed off this criticism.
“I think it would have been decent of the man to look me in my eye and talk with me before he sent the letter,” the embattled pastor replied. He says that it’s impossible to keep politics out of the church. “That’s very difficult to do, especially in light of the fact that you’ve had the evangelical church endorse[s] the present candidate and continues to endorse him.”
Not only does Cuadle refuse to take his words back, but he goes on the offensive. “[I] never called for violence against Elon Musk, and he knows that it’s propaganda. They take things, they twist it, they only play portions of a particular sermon in order to push their propaganda to Elon Musk.” In his original rant, the pastor slammed Elon Musk.
“And in this nation, I’m worried that we are on the verge of bloodshed. This is an attempt to take us back to a day when we do not want to go and we will not go. Therefore, there will be conflict. I pray that the peace of God will win out and overcome the madness that is attempting to take over this nation,” the Tennesee-based pastor said in his crazed rant.

“And I will say to you, beloved, no one likes violence, but sometimes violence is necessary when Elon Musk forces his way into the United States Treasury and threatens to steal your personal information and your Social Security check, there is possibility of violence,” he added. “Sometimes the devil will act so ugly that you have no other choice but to get violent and fight.”
“Well, someone might say, Now, Reverend, you know you shouldn’t be talking about violence. This is a Christian thing to do. Well, I will say, why not talk this way? Because Jesus did,” he concluded.” Jesus said …didn’t he? The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. The Kingdom of God is a war zone. It is a battlefield. You did know this, right?”
