The female pastor of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Columbus, Ohio, posted a dramatic sermon. In it, Pastor Gini talks about how she’s become addicted to her phone after Donald Trump’s election and says that Elon Musk is the real president of the US. The work pastor made a long list of progressive complaints and exhorted her followers to ‘stand up’ to the Trump administration.
“I found myself a bit overwhelmed and glued to my … cell phone screen or the news to find out what next terrible thing was going to happen as President Musk … and his hacker minions [are] going to do to people that I love,” she began. “I’m being critical; I wonder what all of this was going to do to my federal employee spouse. We have 2 million people in this country who’ve been very negatively affected by what’s happened the last two weeks.”
“I wonder what is going to happen to all of my Diversity Equity and Inclusion friends… [who have] diversity equity inclusion as part of their daily life, and now somehow that’s bad,” she ranted. “And of course, we’ve talked before about …the attacks on our trans community.” She also attacked American companies for ending their DEI programs.
” I would [like to] call [out] the feckless institutions and corporations that are just folding, and I mean folding on their DEI and anti-homophobia initiatives because they don’t want to make anyone mad in the White supremacist house,” she stated. “Thereby inviting racism, sexism, anti-LGBTQIA+ discrimination in our communities with no consequence.”
She also gave her congregation a ‘trigger warning.’ “Now I understand that that might be a hard thing for folks to hear today, especially if you’re new today and you’re in need of comfort… but first, we have to talk about what’s happening, and I do want to give you a trigger warning. If you want to close your eyes for a second, you can, but there was a symbol these past two weeks that it was an awful image.”
She then displayed an image of Elon Musk saluting the crowd at Trump’s inauguration. Some, like the pastor, have claimed that this action had a nefarious undertone, but Musk has denied that. “There was no mistaking what it meant. …I didn’t have any trouble knowing what that meant… no one that I have ever known or seen in my entire life ever came close to that terrible gesture …that embodies hate to our entire humanity,” she claimed.
” I know the temptation is to be an ostrich and to protect yourself and to just shut it all off, and I get that, and that’s okay right now,” she concluded. “Sometimes you’ve got to duck and cover, and when it’s important to stand up, you stand up.” Online commentators ridiculed the female pastor for her ridiculous theatrics. “Nowhere did Jesus say thou shalt let the government rob it’s own people to fund gender studies in foreign nations. Or be a poor steward and use it to lie to its citizens,” one account noticed.

“I live in Columbus. I am so glad this person has zero actual impact in our community. Not one part of this was the gospel – all of it was purely CRT wrapped in weaponized empathy. Making it utter nonsense,” reacted another user.” Being on the government grift must be similar to being hooked on drugs,” said one account, making fun of her wild demeanor.
