A controversial sermon recently posted to X gathered massive backlash over a message that many conservative Christians considered blasphemous. Protestia, a conservative Christian outlet, posted a clip which featured a woke pastor preaching that “Beloved is every gender,” and even more questionably, comparing the incarnation of Christ to coming out as gay.
For context, the Church has been rocked for decades by debates over gender and sexuality. On one hand, liberals argue that gender diversity is a part of God’s creation, and argue for woke polices across the board. At the same time, conservatives cite scripture to affirm a traditional interpretation of gender, and generally wish to keep politics out of the pulpit.
Such was shown when the unidentified pastor was exposed on April 5, 2025. He began his woke rant by calling the congregation to worship. The pastor said, “Will you join me in our call to worship in the image of God? You created everything and called it good in abundant diversity, and your likeness is found in us.”
Building up to a progressive crescendo, he parroted tired Democrat talking points. He said, “We reject all messages that belittle and degrade any among us, and so in faithfulness to God and one another, we proclaim sacred are our bodies of every size and ability. Blessed are our sexualities, drawing us towards love of many kinds. Beloved is every gender revealing you in different ways to our skin, beautiful in every shade.
Continuing his controversial prayer, the liberal pastor compared coming out of the closet to the incarnation of Christ. He theatrically said, ” God, you have modeled for us time and time again what it looks like to come out.
Since the beginning, you have been revealing your true self to us in different forms, but we always struggle to understand.”
Adding to his dubious metaphor he claimed, “In Jesus, you took on the flesh of an infant, made yourself vulnerable, risk everything, all in hopes of deepening your relationship with us, like our ancestors who responded to your coming out with violence and rejection, we acknowledge we too turn away from your revelation and unexpected people and places today.”

Concluding the woke rant, the pastor reaffirmed his commitment to far-left gender ideology. He mentioned, “By Your Spirit make us the kind of community where those who come out as queer trends or in any vulnerable way, can find home and family and embrace [each other.]”
When the clip reached social media, faithful Christians were enraged by the shocking display. In the comments under the video, some users took a compassionate tone. One such comment said, “This literally makes me want to cry for those being led astray. This “pastor” faces such terrible punishment if he does not repent. He will someday agonize over his blasphemy and the souls led into hell.”
Other replies were more blunt in their condemnation. One of the comments read, “Translation: He’s a false teacher, a faker, and a charlatan, pretending to be a pastor. Got it.” Another one of the replies said, “Why do they even want to be a “Christian” when they outright reject the Pauline Letters? Become a Buddhist or something.”
