In a highly controversial video, failed Democratic candidate for VP Tim Walz’s daughter, Hope, compared a deported MS-13 gangster to Christ. In her woke screed, Hope Walz said that if he were alive today, the Trump administration would have deported Jesus.
For context, liberals have been melting down since the Trump administration deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged member of the violent MS-13 gang. While Democrats have disputed his gang ties, despite gang tattoos on the man’s hands, conservatives have defended deporting the violent illegal immigrant.
In any case, Hope Walz began her rant by making a sacrilegious claim. She said, “If Jesus were alive today and in the United States, this administration would have already taken him and removed him from this country without due process, claimed he was a member of the MS 13 gang as a way to try to justify not giving him due process as the as if there is any justifiable reason to not giving somebody due process.”
Still not done, she claimed that this is an obvious conclusion. Explaining her convoluted reasoning, she added, “But yeah, some people don’t want to talk about that. It truly is baffling how clear and laid out everything is, and there is still people standing by it. I believe in the good of people and like humanity, humans, you know, deep down at our core, like we care about each other.”
Concluding her woke remarks, she said, “That’s really being tested, because how anyone is okay with this is terrifying to me. But yeah, if you look like me, speak up. Speak out, because we might be the only one safe from what’s coming and some of the only people that are able to stop it. So, yeah, it’s our duty at this point.”
Breaking the story, conservative influencer Collin Rugg posted the clip to X on April 19, 2025. Explaining the clip, he said, “Tim Walz’s daughter appears to compare alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Jesus, says Trump would have deported Jesus for being a gang member. I see the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
In the comments under the clip, users were incensed by her argument. One such comment said, “Oh my gosh. You have got to be kidding me…I’m not even that religious and I think this is absolutely DISGUSTING language. Why would she say something like this?!!!!!!!!” Rugg responded, “The Walz family has below-average IQs with above-average speaking capabilities, so they’re able to attract an audience of people with below-average IQs who think they’re listening to smart people.”
Angered by Hope Walz’s insensitive remarks, one comment asked if she would accept immigrants into her home. The comment read, “You know the guy that killed the girl that young girl was it something Riley can he come out of jail just for a couple days so we can send them over to Tim Walton’s daughter’s house she’d like a visit for him because she’s worried about him.”

Rounding out the comments, many users were angered by comparing Christ to a violent felon. One such comment read, “How disgusting and despicable that she could compare Jesus to an MS 13 gang member! I suggest you go open a Bible and start reading, Hope! You need God more than ever!” Another agreed, saying, “Comparing Jesus to an MS-13 member is beyond delusional. Kilmar Abrego Garcia had a violent criminal record and an ICE detainer. This isn’t compassion, it’s moral confusion. Trump’s policies protected citizens. Walz’s daughter needs a Bible and a reality check.”
