Charlie Kirk Urges “Lost” Young Men to Go Back to Church To “Reorient Your Life”

In an explosive interview with Tucker Carlson, conservative activist Charlie Kirk gave a few pieces of simple advice to young men, urging them to go back to church to find new direction in life and for a much-needed “life raft” in the midst of the “chaos” of young adulthood, going on to encourage men to get married, have children, and abandon the mindset of a victim.

For background, on July 21, 2025, Charlie Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA, appeared on “The Tucker Carlson Show” to discuss the current state of young America. During the conversation, Kirk weighed in on research that shows a major uptick in church attendance in young men, which he called “beautiful.”

In the interview, Kirk said that for young men, going to church can be “a life raft” in what he described as a “tsunami of chaos and disorder.” Moreover, the conservative activist weighed in on the draw of the Catholic and Orthodox churches to young men, saying, “They want something that is lasting. They want something that is ancient, that is beautiful, something that has stood the test of time, something that’s not going to change, something that’s all of a sudden not going to … just flip around [and become] some sort of, you know, transgender story hour.”

Continuing, Kirk called the shift towards faith “a really positive trend,” calling it “my great hope,” and going on to address young men “that are lost” directly, saying, “Stop…smoking weed, stop drinking endlessly, find yourself back to church.” He added, “That will reorient your life.”

Next, the conservative activist urged listeners to follow simple advice: “Find a woman, marry her, provide.” He added, “Have more kids than you can afford. That’s my advice for young men. Don’t play the victim. Even though you legitimately can play the victim card on everything we’ve said, the mindset of a victim is parasitic to your soul.” Carlson replied, “I completely agree.”

Furthermore, Carlson and Kirk discussed the Christian roots — specifically the “Protestant spirit” — of America, with Carlson saying that “the people who founded the country were Protestants” before adding, “I’m as pro-Catholic as anyone could be.” Carlson went on to say that Protestants “think for themselves,” calling the Founding Fathers “the heirs of Martin Luther.”

Notably, the two also talked about the mental health struggles facing young men, with Kirk attributing such issues to loneliness and saying, “And look would the Scriptures tell us — and this is a very interesting thing. What did God say? He said it’s not good for man to be alone.” Carlson replied, “Exactly,” before Kirk clarified, “But he wasn’t alone. He had God. What he was saying is that it’s not good for man to be without a woman.”

Concluding his point, Kirk said that while “some people don’t like this teaching,” The Genesis account makes it clear that “it’s not enough for man just to have Go.” He added, “Adam had God, he had a relationship with God. If you look at almost every third-world country, where men don’t feel that they are able to have economic prosperity or any romantic future, you get either revolution, gang violence, or complete disconnect, or suicide.”
