Watch: Rep. Nancy Mace Exposes “Systematic Killing Of Christians” That Woke Media Is Burying

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) joined Bill Maher’s longstanding HBO show Real Time to call out the media’s absolute burial of what the show’s eponymous host, an admitted non-Christian, labeled the “systematic killing of Christians.” The segment drew widespread praise for both the speaker’s courage to bring up the topic.

For context, woke Google’s own AI-generated overview reported that thousands of Christians in the African nation of Nigeria have been and are still being killed as silence of the atrocities rage. “An average of 32 Christians are killed daily, and thousands more have been massacred in 2025 alone. Kidnappings of Christians, including priests, for ransom have also become a common and lucrative criminal enterprise,” Google’s snapshot reported when a query was asked to describe what is happening there.

Indeed, for all of the focus on the mistreatment of Muslim Palestinians in the Middle East, the widespread and seemingly globally-sanctioned persecution and treatment of Christians in that region and others goes entirely unreported. Nigeria specifically is divided almost in half in terms of its estimated 100 million citizens, with about half each identifying as either Muslim or Christian.

A viral clip from the recent appearance of Mace on Maher’s show begins with Maher perplexedly declaring that “the fact that this issue has not gotten on people’s radar” despite the overwhelming evidence of what he later called a “genocide.”

After Mace agrees that “no one’s talking about it,” Maher launched into a fiery tirade, both denouncing the horrific violence and calling out brainwashed college students who protest for every infraction, perceived or real, against Muslims in Gaza, yet remain absolutely clueless and silent over an atrocity he says is far worse.

“It’s pretty amazing. If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources suck. You are in a bubble. And again, I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009 they burned 18,000 churches. This is so much more. These are their Islamists, Boko Haram,” Maher stated.

He went on, saying that entire communities are being wiped out and that the numbers alone make this far worse than anything happening in Gaza. “This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?”

Captioning the video of X, the account Vigilant Fox wrote, “Bill Maher delivers a surprising moment on air as he calls out the slaughter of CHRISTIANS in Nigeria that the media refuses to cover.” The account then emphasized the point Maher made about ignorance on the topic, quoting Maher’s brilliant line: “If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources SUCK.”

The account then restated Maher’s most powerful part of the speech where he laid out the unfathomable numbers of killings and attacks on churches. “They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches… They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.”
