“I Believe In God And Everything They Hate”: Hero Journalist Nick Shirley Reveals Vicious Character Attacks After Exposing Fraud

Hero journalist Nick Shirley, whose expose on Minnesota’s Somali fraud set viewing records on the social media platform X at the end of 2025, used his instant fame to expose yet another hallmark of leftism. Instead of detailing fraud this time, though, he revealed that his personal choices and beliefs were driving the left insane.

For context, Shirley is a 23-year-old YouTuber who practices independent journalism. He wasn’t new to the space, having previously addressed President Donald Trump back in October 2025 at a roundtable event where he discussed the most frightening experiences of his life involved covering radical leftist agitators in places like Portland. His name became instantly recognizable, however, after he spent time digging into the widespread, rampant fraud perpetrated by Somali migrants in Minnesota and seemingly encouraged by Minnesota Democrats.

Speaking to Paul Bet-David on the PBD Podcast, Shirley spent time recounting that journalistic endeavor, but also spoke to how he was hated by the left for overcoming basal human primacy and achieving superiority over sin. His belief in God and the choices he makes based on that belief makes the left go crazy.

“These people are like, I saw something. Someone’s calling me like a PDF. They’re seeing all these crazy allegations. I’m like, what sucks for them is they’re never going to be able to get me,” Shirley said, pointing to how the left always practices character assassination on people lille him. Rather than addressing the issue of fraud, largely because they can’t deny it, they attack him personally instead.

Unswayed by the predictable backlash, Shirley said he’s untouchable. “I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t do drugs, I’m a virgin. I don’t have sex with random girls. You’re not going to catch me on no sexual allegation charges. I don’t have any addictions. I don’t have any vices. So what are these people gonna get me for? They’re done,” he said.

“I’m a religious I believe in God and everything they hate. So what are they gonna get me for? They can’t get me for anything like they’re gonna come after me for my personality or for a stunt I did in high school. Maybe that’s maybe the best thing they could get me for. Is for Nick Shirley being a young, reckless teenager, just like any other YouTube prankster, go ahead, I don’t care. Like I have nothing to hide, like I literally have nothing to hide,” he went on.

“So like I am going to become their worst enemy. You’re going to start seeing them using the slandering tactics, and it’s just going to be comical for me, because they have, they can’t get anything on me. But, and by the way, the way I’ve lived my life, the way I’ve lived my life, and the way I do live my life is a matter of fact, the way I have my morals, I have my principles, I surround myself with primarily just my family,” he finished.

Watch Shirley expose the left for predictable character attacks below and how he is able to withstand them:

This wasn’t the first time Nick Shirley had mentioned this leftist tactic. Speaking to Riley Gaines on her podcast, as reported by The American Tribune, he said he was the target of vicious leftist attacks after exposing fraud. Again, the attacks weren’t related to the information he presented, but rather him as a person.

The courageous conservative said to Gaines of the attacks, “Yeah, yeah. You think something like this would just be fraud is bad, but no, now people are coming after me for exposing fraud. Who are all those people? They’re leftist.”

Continuing his comments, he added, “It’s just a moment where they could have really been like, Okay, you guys, let’s come together. Let’s tell everyone that fraud is bad. Let’s crack down on the fraud. Instead, they come after the person who’s exposing the fraud.”
