Conservative Podcaster Blasts Media ‘Propaganda’ For Edifying Single Motherhood, Pretending It’s a Victory For Women

A podcaster slammed what she called overt ‘propaganda’ celebrating single motherhood amidst exploding rates of the phenomenon in the United States during an eye-opening segment on the popular cable show ‘Fox & Friends.’ Isabel Brown, who hosts a show of the same name, weighed in on the explosion of fatherless homes as a the epidemic spreads across America.

Opening the segment and her appearance, the hosts of the cable news program shared alarming data comparing figures from 1960 and today. In the former year, just 5% of households were led by a single mom whereas data from 2023 shows an astounding 40% of households are now in existence where the husband, father, or man in general is entirely absent.

Continuing for context before bringing on their guest, a co-host set up her talking points by referring to a recent piece by the magazine Cosmopolitan in which, rather than lament the decline in the nuclear family, it praised it as an example of fierce womanly independence asserting itself.

“More than ever, mothers are making this choice on purpose. This recent cosmopolitan piece, sharing cheering them for their quote, freedom and feminist identities here to react as host of The Isabel brown show and new mother Isabelle Brown, good morning to you. Good morning to you all. Congratulations on welcome to The Club. What’s your reaction when you read this article in Cosmo?” the host said as he welcomed Brown to the program.

Reacting to the startling data and specific reframing of the problem by the left-wing news magazine, Brown chimed in: “I’m hardly surprised, especially that this is coming from Cosmo, because really, all of these women’s publications throughout the last decade have honed in on presenting singlehood and being parentless as universally empowering, while moms and wives are almost always demonized by almost every single pillar of our culture.”

She continued, saying it was pure propaganda. “It’s just the latest example in a string of propaganda that we are seeing constantly shoved down the throats of Generation Z women. Earlier this week, a whole lot of us podcasters were talking about a New York Magazine article about why women regret having children later in their lives, written as an op ed.”

“I can only imagine how it feels as a child to read your mom writing an article that way just before the last election, the Los Angeles Times said that you are a selfish person that wanted to essentially end the world with climate change if you ever wanted to experience pregnancy or give birth,” she added.

“So this is nothing new, but it does seem to be ramping up a whole lot before the midterm elections, and I have to wonder how much of that has to do with the left feeling like they’re losing their grip on young people as they universally start to re embrace traditional values. Like family Newsweek Magazine said a few years ago, 93% of current college students still want to get married despite all of this propaganda out there.”

“So it’s noise, but I don’t think it’s a very empowering alternative to what we’ve known is true for 1000s of years as humanity…I think what you’ve really seen with this idea of normalizing everything in culture throughout my lifetime is that when we do have a cultural norm like the family, in particular, the nuclear family as the cornerstone of American society, all of a sudden, while you’re trying to normalize everything else in those outlier circumstances, you have to throw the baby out with the bathwater, and nothing can be normal again in culture and society,” she went on.
