Donald Trump Releases Letter From Franklin Graham On His Salvation, The Only Way To Heaven Is “Though The Shed Blood Of Jesus Christ”

President Donald Trump used Palm Sunday to share a powerful message directed to him by Reverend Franklin Graham, but one that can be applied by anyone questioning their own faith and salvation as Christians. The message, a private letter written by Rev. Graham last fall in October of 2025 following a ‘historic’ peace agreement between Israel and Palestinian leadership, was equally prompted by the president famously wondering aloud if he had what it took to enter Heaven.

For context, on October 13th, aboard Air Force One, Trump had said this: “I don’t think there’s anything that’s gonna get me in heaven. I really don’t. I think I’m not, maybe, heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make heaven. But I’ve made life better for a lot of people.”

Reacting to that statement, Graham reminded the president that the only way to Heaven is through Christ’s shed blood for all of mankind. Moreover, while Christ’s selfless love for us is all we need, the fact that his comments came amidst a brokered peace previous presidents had attempted and failed countless times, only helped.

“Your leadership is historic. This is an answer to much prayer. Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), and Mr. President, that is what you are,” Graham’s letter began.

“This week you commented to the media that you might not be heaven bound. Maybe you responded in jest, but it is an important issue to know for certain that your soul is secure and will spend eternity in the presence of God. The only One who can save us from Hell is Jesus Christ. You can’t save yourself; I can’t save myself. Good works, prominence, success—none of these get us to Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ,” he continued.

“God requires us to turn from our sins and, by faith, believe in our heart that Jesus came to earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and God raised Him to life on the third day. If you accept that by faith and invite Him to come into your heart, you ARE heaven bound, I promise you,” he continued.

“The Bible says, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). You continue to be in our prayers,” the letter ended.

Graham has long been a supporter of President Trump. He endorsed him and spoke on his behalf at the Republican National Convention. More recently, he fired back at radical socialists hellbent on destroying America, in which he said the only solution was Trump leaning on his faith and asking for God’s help and wisdom.

In one example, he urged his followers and indeed, President Donald Trump, to come together after Minneapolis experienced anti-ICE riots. “The protests we see across the country right now are underpinned by the radical socialist left, whose goal is to make the United States like Venezuela, ultimately destroying the America we know. Lying, stealing, cheating—nothing is out of bounds in order to grab power,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, many people joining these protests have no clue that they are just being used as pawns,” Graham went on to say, borrowing a term from Karl Marx to suggest the leftist agitators were merely ‘useful idiots’ of the establishment powers. He finished his post with a call to action for the current administration and prayed for their strength in leadership.

“The only hope for America is God. I encourage you to pray. Pray for President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and all the Cabinet and leadership of our nation,” he concluded.
