The niece of Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr. gave thanks to God for His blessings on America and its continued fight for righteousness as the nation founded in 1776 celebrates the monumental 250th anniversary on July 4th, 2026. For her efforts in loving America and supporting President Donald J. Trump, she was basically called a ‘bastard’ of the King legacy by the woke and insufferable Jasmine Crockett.
For context, the Trump administration has used 2026 to roll out gatherings, celebrations and prayers for America. At one titled Rededicate America 250, Dr. Alveda C. King offered a prayer. Afterwards, she shared part of the moment on social media.
“As America approaches its 250th birthday, may we never forget the source of our blessings,” she captioned along with the video. “It was an honor to offer this prayer at the Rededicate America 250 gathering. Join me in praying for our nation, our leaders, our families, and the generations yet to come. God bless America,” she finished.
“I stand here today as part of the King family legacy, the family of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. the prophet you called to lead what history records as a 20th century civil rights movement. The movement was shaped in the pulpits of America, carried forward on the wings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and sustained by the power of prayer,” her speech begins.
“Prayer is always our most powerful weapon. Facing adversity and hatred, as we repent and pray, we ask you to return us to the faith of our fathers and mothers teach us to pray again, to sing again, and to walk again in faith, hope, and love,” she finishes. Watch that moment below:
Another moment featuring the courageous and outspoken niece came when the recently-primaried Jasmine Crockett used her bully pulpit to slander the former Georgia state representative of doing the bidding of a ‘white-majority’ Republican Party in a wildly racist rant that has become her brand.
“A House hearing went off the rails when Rep. Jasmine Crockett launched into a blistering attack on Republicans and Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece,” Fox News wrote on X. “The Texas Democrat took aim at the GOP as a “majority… White” party while criticizing lawmakers for spotlighting civil rights activist Alveda King during a hearing examining the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
“At one point, Crockett suggested Republicans were trying to make the public think a ‘Doctor King’ was condemning the SPLC, prompting a fiery response from King,” they continued. “King responded saying Crockett’s comments made her “emotional” and later questioned whether Crockett was calling her a ‘bastard’ of the King name — but by the time she responded, Crockett had already stormed away from the room.”
“But the vast majority are white men. White men are lecturing people of color, because the vast majority actually any semblance of diversity comes from this side of the aisle. You want to tell people of color who is fighting for who. People of color do not feel comfortable or welcomed within your party, that’s why you have to parade someone who has the name Dr. King attached to them, so that people can be confused,” Crockett’s insidious tirade began.
“Because I have been reading the comments online, and people are like, who is this Dr. King, because you want them to believe that somehow she espouses who Dr. King was, yet you’ve yet to have MLK the third, come in here. You’ve yet to have Dr. Bernice King, the ones that were actually raised by Dr. King, the ones that actually probably understand the teachings of Dr. King,” she continued.
