The far-left Democrat Senate candidate in Texas, the man who says he is a “Christian who hates Christianity,” returned to the interview circuit with yet another attack on fundamental biblical teachings. James Talarico, who has yet to meet a Bible verse he agrees with, said instruction of the Bible in the state he wants to represent is “deeply immoral” because it’s being presented as a fact.
For context, Talarico provides a seemingly daily outlandish remark. For someone identifying as a Christian, the fact he takes issue with teaching Christianity as fact would suggest he doesn’t believe in it himself. Christians, in fact, do believe the historical authenticity of the Bible, therefore teaching it in such a fashion would align with those beliefs. For Talarico, though, and by extension the entire far-left, anything that undermines the woke progressive narrative is a threat and must therefore be maligned.
Speaking with a Senior Fellow from the Religion and Faith Center for American Action Progress Fund, Talarico spoke with his usual smug derisiveness towards the faith he simultaneously claims and rejects, melting down over a voter-approved – after all, Democrats want to defend democracy – curricular change in the Lone Star State to bring in more religious instruction.
“One is maybe the most insidious. It was a new state curriculum that that would teach Christian Bible stories as historical fact as the only truth to our youngest students, and I mean kindergarten, first graders. These are kids who who aren’t able to to think for themselves yet. They haven’t formed their own world news and to push propaganda, to push indoctrination on those youngest students is deeply immoral,” he hyperventilated about.

For additional context, the organization with whom he was speaking shares a similar worldview as him. Masking themselves in Christianity, their website promotes activism for progressive causes and simply uses the Christian banner as a shield to usher in communist ideals. “Advancing a progressive vision of religious liberty and partnering with faith communities in support of all CAP’s crosscutting priorities,” the homepage declares of the group.
In their ‘About Us’ section, the entirety of the mission and values statements read like a machine-written screed that uses buzzwords while saying nothing at all.
“The Center for American Progress Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan policy institute and advocacy organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action. Our aim is not just to change the conversation, but to change the country,” the mission statement states.
“As progressives, we believe America should be a land of boundless opportunity, where people can climb the ladder of economic mobility. We believe we owe it to future generations to protect the planet and promote peace and shared global prosperity. And we believe an effective government can earn the trust of the American people, champion the common good over narrow self-interest, and harness the strength of our diversity,” says their mission statement.
“We work alongside progressive strategists across the space to support vital new policies, challenge the media to cover the issues that truly matter, and shape the national debate. With policy teams in major issue areas, as well as in-house digital, communications, and research experts, the Center for American Progress Action Fund is able to drive the conversation and hold leaders accountable to progressive values,” declares their approach to change.
