The President and Vice President of the United States teamed up to posterize the woke WNBA players and franchises that have walked off the court during each of the league’s finals games. JD Vance slammed the actions as ‘disgraceful’ while Donald Trump called for a ban of participation from Olympic competition.
Writing on X, Chief Content Officer of Florida News Eric Daugherty wrote of the vice president’s remark: “VP JD Vance MIC DROPS the WNBA players disgustingly walking out on the national anthem. ‘I think it’s DISGRACEFUL. Those women who play for the WNBA, think of the public safety, think of the incredible wealth and privilege, the amazing jobs that they have!’” Vance’s quote began.
“’I think that you should not express some criticism of a public policy of a given politician by disrespecting the country writ large! They have a LOT to be grateful to the United States for. And I think that if they had a bit more of a spirit of gratitude, they’d be happier people and they wouldn’t offend so many people as well,’” Daugherty said of Vance’s expanded comment.
“The flag isn’t a politician!” his opinion then continued on X. “Walking out on the anthem is a slap in the face to every troop, every servicemember, their families, and the ones who gave everything for us. Vance said exactly what millions of Americans are thinking.”
He then reacted to President Trump’s own comments at a rally speech in front of thousands of patriots. “President Trump calls for a NATIONAL BOYCOTT of the WNBA after the league refuses to act on the trashy players walkout out on the USA National Anthem,” he wrote again on X.
“‘It’s a big deal going on. They LEAVE THE COURT when the national anthem’s playing. The NFL did that for a while, they stopped because people stopped WATCHING. You should do the same thing with women’s basketball unless they [fix it],’” Daugherty quoted Trump as saying.
“NFL ratings tanked during the kneeling era, and the league changed course! The WNBA players get rich off America then disrespect it. Hit them where it hurts and TUNE THEM OUT. The WNBA should be ripped apart,” he added.
At his rally, President Trump said players who couldn’t respect the anthem didn’t deserve to play for the United States. “Stand up for the Olympics. Hey, by the way, what’s going on with the women’s NBA? What’s that all about? You know, they’ll destroy themselves before they get started because they’re just starting to do good. And you had a player here who was very good, who was very helpful for that. No, it’s a big deal going on,” he stated.
