Country music star John Rich shared a powerful message on social media when he offered a series of prayers and Bible verses to be used when Christians feel like they are under attack from demonic forces. The viral post from October 6th was immediately received with immense positivity, with many followers thanking him for his community and guidance.

Beginning his post, the “Try That In A Small Town’ artist contextualized the purpose of his long message, stating that when Christians feel duress or find themselves amidst a ‘spiritual attack,’ they can turn to the Lord. “When you are under Spiritual attack, pray these prayers, and read these verses, and The Lord will bind and silence the agents of wickedness,” he wrote.

The country music star who thrice endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2016, 2020, and 2024 then posted his first biblical reference, which offers reassurance from David’s word. “Psalm 34:7 ‘The angels of the Lord encamp around those who fear Him, and He delivers them,’” the first passage reads.

Following the verse, Rich shares a prayer believers can use in relationship to the verse from Psalms. “Prayer: ‘Lord, please send Your angels to encamp around me today, to be a wall of FIRE, and protection between me and those who are attacking my family. I pray that you would send the Holy Spirit to be present with me today, and with every step I take, I pray you walk with me, so that every evil spirit would run and hide from your mighty presence. By the power of the blood that was shed by your Son, Jesus Christ, I ask for this protection in Jesus’ name, AMEN.’”

The Tennessee resident then shared a series of verses from Zachariah and Isaiah. “Zachariah 2:5 ‘And I Myself will be a wall of fire around you,” declares the Lord, “and I will be your glory within’” and “Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you,’” he wrote.

Again following with a prayer, Rich offered that disciples of Christ could implore Him to give them courage and strength. “Lord, remove every fear from my heart. Strengthen and uphold me with Your righteous hand.”
In closing, the man who famously called out Beyonce for winning Best Country Album in 2025 – Rich has yet to secure a Grammy win of his own – cited Exodus before connecting a prayer to the verse. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still…Prayer: ‘Lord, fight my battles today and always. Protect me from every evil attack.’”

The response to Rich was immediate and heartfelt. One top comment noted how moving the entire post was and how the reassurance of faith and commitment to God manifested in a tear-stained Bible.

“John, it’s hard to send a text and really show the feeling and deepness behind it. So I want you to know, as I write this, I am saying it with humbleness and gratitude, with tears staining my Bible in this moment,” the user stated. “Thank you for posting this today. You have no idea how much I need to read these passages and say these prayers. Please pray with me. God bless you.”

Rich took the time to respond to that comment, saying: “We all have to remind each other what Guarantees have been give to us by The Father. But, we have to claim them. We don’t receive them by default.”
