In a video making the rounds on social media, Dr. Jamal H. Bryant ranted against the MAGA movement and white people in a racially tinged political rant. The Atlanta-based megachurch pastor took aim at Trump supporters and said he would ‘Run ‘Em Off” with the help of God. Users on social media objected to the pastor’s incendiary rhetoric.
“I came to tell white supremacists. I came to tell MAGA. I came to tell white privilege, we coming, we coming, we coming. We coming. We coming,” he repetitively said. ” God said, when you give me glory, I’m going to run ’em out of the State Department. If you give me glory, Imma, run ’em out of Congress and run ’em out of Senate. If you give me glory, Imma, run ’em off of your job and run ’em off of your classroom.”
Jamal Bryant is no stranger to politics. According to his personal website, ” I am a called Minister, but I am a born activist. While I wholeheartedly embrace my role as a proclaimer of God’s sacred word and text, I am equally driven by a relentless commitment to right wrongs, uphold justice, and be a voice for the voiceless.” He added, “As we reflect on Jesus’ life, it is obvious that He was a radical social activist who fought for justice and the common good.”
“Contrary to the docile and humble visionary traditionally portrayed by the church, Jesus was a fierce and outspoken critic of the status quo. He openly denounced Pharisees and dined with prostitutes. He overturned the tables in the corrupt Sanhedrin-run temple. He was crucified between two thieves,” Bryant wrote. “I am raised in the tradition of Jesus, Dr. King, and Malcolm X.”
“Each day that I am blessed to wake and walk, my spirit burns to bend the arc of the moral universe a litle more towards justice. I pray for the strength to be a vessel of hope for the hopeless and to be the voice of the voiceless,” the activist stated. “Whether it is addressing police brutality in the inner city or food insecurity in a rural outpost, there is so much that we must fight for and many injustices that we must stand against.”
“At our best, the church provides a sense of community, unity, power, and significance in the face of personal sufferings and persistent systemic challenges. It is not the home for the cultivation of Black religious expression, but also our social and cultural expressions,” Bryant concluded. ” As an activist, I seek to lessen the divide between the spiritual and the secular so that we can pursue justice and equity cooperatively as a united people.”
Users on X mocked the pastor for his shameful speech. “What are these type of morons going to say when they are face-to-face with God? I definitely would not want to be in his shoes! He better really get saved, because he’s definitely not!” one user said. “A man of God should be identifiable as such despite their garb, not because of it”. This is what I use to measure such thing,” another added.

Another user noticed, “Hope fully just a few crazy people, showing off. I think authorities should be alerted. Making threats like that could be very bad to their psychic health. Very bad energy.” “He is not speaking Truth, and seems to not be preaching the real Jesus. He is putting his words and his thoughts in how he believes God should and will respond to something he doesn’t like,” one user replied. “He seems to have forgotten that His ways and His thoughts are not ours.”
