According to recent reports, Dr. Ben Carson was “honored” to offer his services in the Trump campaign as the former president’s “faith chairman. ” Carson has always been outspoken about his Christian faith and how it impacts his political views.
The prominent Republican figure took to X for his “staunch” support of the “faith community.” He wrote, “I am honored to serve as the national faith chairman for the campaign and my friend, @realDonaldTrump. It’s imperative that the faith community realizes what is at stake in this election. President Trump was a staunch supporter of the faith community and he will be again as our 47th President.”
Former President Trump recently announced in a press release that he would be appointing Carson to engage with the faith community on behalf of the Trump-Vance campaign and promote religious freedom. Throughout his campaign, Trump has vowed to fight for the Christian community in America, promising to defend the faith at the national level against any increasingly hostile secular left.
“Kamala Harris and the radical left have waged war on America’s faith community since the day they took office. Her selection of Governor Tim Walz as her Vice-Presidential nominee solidifies their commitment to intensifying those efforts. Ben Carson, a man of unwavering faith, is the perfect person to work with leaders of the faith community on behalf of the campaign to promote the protection of religious freedom and prosperity in our country. Nobody was a bigger champion for the faith community than me, and I look forward to working with Ben Carson to fight back against Kamala Harris’ war on faith and making America great again in November,” Trump said in the press release.
The Christian Tribune previously reported on comments from Donald Trump in which the Republican Presidential candidate vowed to advocate for Christians. Trump maintained that conservative Christians would make a significant “comeback” if he wins in November.
“Hello to everyone at the Danbury Institute and to all of the wonderful pastors and faith leaders, very respected people gathered for the Southern Baptist Convention, annual meeting. That’s a big deal. I want to thank each and every one of you for your tremendous devotion to God and the country and your tremendous support of me and I hope I’ve earned it, because we’ve done things that nobody thought were possible to have gotten done,” Trump began the message.
“I hope we’ll be defending them side by side for your next four years. These are going to be your years, because you’re going to make a comeback like just about no other group. I know what’s happening. I know where you’re coming from and where you’re going, and I’ll be with you side by side. So again, thank you once again for everything you do. And you have to get out and vote. Our religious leaders have to get their incredible people that love them so much and respect them so much. Have to get them out to vote,” the former president emphasized.
