A former J6 prisoner who spent over 1,400 days in confinement – 900 of which were solitary – announced a Senate run in the state of Florida with the release of a powerful video praising President Trump and his actions. Jake Lang received a pardon along with over one thousand other Americans and messaged his candidacy as decidedly pro-Trump, whom he credits with “freeing him from Biden’s disgusting gulags.”
Lang will be seeking the seat vacated by now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who resigned the position upon his conformation. Rubio was replaced by Ron DeSantis’s Attorney General Ashley Moody and a special election will take place in 2026 to determine an elected Senator.
“My name is Jake Lang. I’m a January 6 political prisoner that was recently pardoned by President Trump. We want to thank the President sincerely for freeing us from Biden’s disgusting gulags. January 6 was a day when free men stood up against tyranny, and our Founding Fathers would have been shoulder to shoulder with us, patriots sacrificed four years of our lives for this country, and I will not let that sacrifice be in vain, to weaponize DOJ, the FBI, Gestapo and the deep state regime conspired to silence us,” Lang says at the start of his video.
“They tried to destroy President Trump and persecute all of his supporters. And I will never allow that to happen again. It was God who got me through the gulags, and it’s God who’s going to make America great again. January 6 was a cry for change, and I am that change. The tree of liberty is thirsty America. We may have won the 2024 election, but the revolution has just begun. We’re going back to the Capitol, and this time as your next elected officials and lawmakers Florida vote for me for United States Senate. My name is Jake Lang, and I approve this message,” he continued.
Lang also wrote a lengthy introduction of himself on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, where he shared the video. “Today I am blessed by God to officially announce my candidacy for US Senate in the great State of Florida!! The story of the January 6 Hostages isn’t over – it’s just begun!! The Golden Age of America is HERE,” he began.
“WE ARE TAKING OVER THE CAPITOL AGAIN. This time as America’s Public Servants & Elected Leaders!! For 1467 days I sat inside the Biden Regime’s horrific Political Prisons, 900 of those days were in complete solitary confinement; A place that can either crush a man or turn him into an unbreakable warrior for God’s Kingdom!! The January 6ers have been chosen & made for such a time as this, The time to reclaim every branch of our Republic is NOW – we can no longer allow feckless RINOs and corrupt Democrats to rule over WE THE PEOPLE,” the post continued.
“The era of Mitch McConnell spineless uniparty hacks ruling the SENATE IS OVER, Making America Great Again is about putting real 1776 patriots & uncompromising Christians into office My promise to the American people is to be an unyielding advocate of Trump’s agenda in the US Senate & to complete the mission of DRAINING THE SWAMP,” the post finished.
