The Trump-backed Republican candidate for the hotly-contested Texas Senate seat in the 2026 midterm elections dropped a banger of an ad torching the woke Democrat candidate opposing him on the other side of the ballot. Ken Paxton, the Attorney General of the Lone Star State who defeated RINO incumbent John Cornyn in the party’s primary with the support of Donald Trump’s endorsement, perfectly highlight his opponent James Talarico’s fake Christianity using his own quotes against him in the A.I.-produced spot.
For context, past and even current comments from Talarico himself have arguably done more damage to his campaign than anything Republicans could muster. In one bizarre moment he described himself as a ‘Christian who hates Christianity’ while repeatedly bashing conservative Christians and praising other faith traditions. He once called Texas Republicans less Christian than his Muslim, Hindu, and atheist colleagues for not voting in favor of the latest woke agenda.
During his campaign, a video was released where he attacked his own state’s decision to include teaching components of the Bible to school-age kids, calling it ‘insidious’ to teach the Bible as historical fact. Talarico has also defended abortion on biblical grounds, though that defense seems at odds with the Bible not being historical, and has even gone so far as to suggest God is a ‘non-binary’ character in the religious realm.
Reacting on X to the latest attack on the radical-left Democrat who defeated Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in his own party’s primary, podcaster Benny Johnson praised the ad for highlighting so many of Talarico’s glaring problems when it comes to the Christian faith.
“EXCLUSIVE: Ken Paxton Drops New Ad TORCHING James Talarico As A False Teacher TWISTING Scripture,” he wrote on the social media platform. “Talarico has been using his own twisted interpretation of the Bible to push his sick agenda on the campaign trial. He thinks…God is nonbinary, God isn’t Christian, There are six genders, Jesus was a radical feminist.”
Adding to the post, he stated: “He even says he thinks of himself as ‘a Christian who HATES Christianity’. Texas must reject this. Elect Ken Paxton,” the post concluded. Watch that powerful political ad below:
“In the beginning, God was non-binary, and He wasn’t a Christian. And God said, “Let there be six genders, and there were. Then God so loved the world that He gave us His only Son, who was a radical feminist and never asked people to worship Him. Look, I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity. James Talarico, wrong for Texas. America is not a Christian nation, and wrong for America too. I’m Ken Paxton, and I approve this message,” the ad says between forceful narration and the A.I.-generated Talarico speaking.
As mentioned earlier, Talarico earned the nomination after cruising to a 6-point victory over Crockett. He received 52.4% of all votes cast to her 46.2%. In polling conducted in late August, voters appear almost split on the contests between Republicans and Democrats running for statewide office. 44% of respondents indicated they would vote for Talarico compared to 43.6% for Paxton. Similarly, Republican Governor Gregg Abbott currently enjoys a 1% lead over his Democrat opponent.
