Time Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow a former Miss Universe Model, announced they are expecting their first child. The former NFL Quarterback showed off a series of ultrasound photos in a joint post on Instagram with his wife. In the post announcing the pregnancy the former beauty queen turned around and showed off her baby bump.
Both the expectant parents were grinning ear to ear. The announcement was captioned Baby Tebow,” and announced the baby is expected this summer. Another post from the mother said “Team Tebow is expanding! Tim Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh are expecting their first baby together, they share with PEOPLE exclusively while expressing their joy at becoming first-time parents ahead of their public announcement on Instagram.”
She told journalists “We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together,” with Tebow adding that he’s “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.” The former Miss Universe went on to say, “I feel like every time I say, ‘Tim’s going to be a dad!’ it feels so surreal.” She gushed about how excited she was to be a mother.
“I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost,” she explained. “To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband… that we get to do parenting together.” Tim Tebow, who now works as a college football analyst, told reporters that when he learned they were going to be parents, it gave him a whole new perspective on life.
The former football star said, “It’s just amazing how it also reprioritizes and changes what you put an emphasis on and what you value most.” He explained “News like that just supersedes the level of importance and the level of joy that you have. It’s just so cool.” Tim Tebow is an outspoken Christian and conservative advocate. He’s spoke about his faith several times.
