Dr. Ben Carson gave an impassioned speech at Charlie Kirk’s Arizona memorial service in which he got a rousing ovation for exposing the elitist scum who continue to look down on the late Turning Point USA founder. Speaking of a coming Christian revival in America and fruit Kirk’s efforts will bear in his touching tribute, Carson also took the opportunity to hit back at smug bloviators who think less of Americans who don’t possess a college degree.
For context, Dr. Carson was one of several prominent conservative voices invited to give remarks at the wildly successful and moving memorial service in Arizona, estimated to have brought in more than 200K people. Also sharing their stories of Kirk, visions of a renewal in faith across America, and remembering the legacy established by the 31-year-old pioneering political giant were President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK, Jr., and the widowed Erika Kirk, among others.
Carson began his remarks by blasting self-styled elitists who dared call Charlie Kirk ‘ignorant’ for the simple matter that he never graduated from college. The former HUD Secretary reminded everyone listening that Kirk was a whole lot wiser and smarter than most of them. “But did you hear a political figure last week saying that Charlie Kirk was ignorant because he didn’t have a college degree? I’ve seen him run circles around people with college degrees,” he said as the standing-room only crowd went berserk with applause.
Carson continued: “I wonder, I wonder if that political figure realizes that most of learning in life comes moving in the same classroom, and I am delighted to see the young people of our land, merging with the older people like me, and moving in the same direction, and understanding that our nation was founded upon the kind of principles that allowed us to rise from nothing to the pinnacle of the world in record time. That was no accident. That was because of what we believed, including our Judeo Christian beliefs, that our rights come from our Creator and not from government.”
Later in his closing commentary, Carson referenced the Bible which Kirk so fondly adored, citing John 12:24 in direct connection to the time, 12:24pm, that the loving husband and father of two was shot. “I want to read a passage from John 12:24 remembering that Charlie was shot at 12:24pm. Verily, verily, I say unto you, This is Christ speaking except a corn of wheat fall onto the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. And I want to thank Charlie for his sacrifice, because much fruit is going to be realized,” he ended.

President Trump also gave powerful remarks that day. As written about previously at The Christian Tribune, the Commander-in-Chief highlighted the Christian nature of Kirk, who he said loved everyone and believed they could change. By contrast, a fiery Trump declared he was not that man and that, indeed, he “hates” his enemies.
“He was a missionary with a noble spirit and a great, great purpose. He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them,” Trump said during his remarks. “That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent, and I don’t want the best for them. I’m sorry. I am sorry Erica, but now Erica can talk to me and the whole group, and maybe they can convince me that that’s not right, but I can’t stand my opponents.”
