The “Duck Dynasty” Robertson clan is rallying around 18-year-old Priscilla, daughter of Jep and Jessica Robertson, after it was revealed that she is pregnant with her first child. Members of the family have asked for prayer, and the pro-life community is showing its heartfelt support to Priscilla.
For background, on July 21, 2025, Jessica Robertson, one of the stars of the beloved “Duck Dynasty” reality series, announced on Instagram that her 18-year-old daughter, Priscilla, is pregnant with her first child. In her post, Jessica admitted that having a grandbaby so soon “isn’t the plan” she had in mind for her daughter, but said that she is “so proud” that her daughter chose to keep the baby.
Writing on Instagram, Jessica said, “Me & Jep are excited to welcome another new grandbaby in October. Priscilla will give birth to our granddaughter & we are blessed to add another grandbaby.” She continued, “This isn’t the plans we had laid out for Priscilla but God takes our meager offerings and turns them into His greatest blessings!”
Continuing, Jessica wrote, “We are so proud that Priscilla & Dillon chose life for their baby and we will all be rewarded with this precious baby girl!” She concluded, “We pray blessings on her pregnancy & ask God for a safe delivery for Mom & Baby. We praise God for His perfect gifts!”
In response to Jessica’s post, several members of the Robertson clan showed their support in the comments. Korie Robertson, wife of Willie, wrote, “Beautiful! Love you and so excited for another sweet baby girl in the fam,” with Sadie Robertson Huff adding, “Beautiful mama.” Rebecca Robertson Loflin, Priscilla’s cousin, wrote, “Beautiful! Love y’all and she is gonna be an amazing mama!”
However, some commenters on Instagram criticized Jessica for the content of her post, with one user writing, “I adore Jess, truly, but as a mom, I have to say this post falls short for me in some real ways.” They added, “Especially with how publicly it’s being shared, I just wish the focus had stayed on celebrating Priscilla and this new beginning. First pregnancies deserve joy, not disclaimers.”
Moreover, another commenter expressed similar concerns, saying, “Pregnancy is hard enough, even when it’s planned and expected. As families—and as a society—we often fall short (in SO many ways) to pregnant women.”
On the other hand, Kristan Hawkins, president of the pro-life group Students for Life, celebrated the announcement online, writing, “I’m so happy for your growing family and for the courageous decision of Priscilla and Dillon, who have chosen Life.” Hawkins continued, “I pray their example inspires many in the same situation and saves thousands of precious children made in His image!”
