Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson recently expressed his passion for being part of God’s eternal kingdom, which is provided by the grace of Jesus Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice on the cross. Robertson exclaimed that he was “fired up” about spending eternity with our creator.
“I’m fired up about being in a kingdom. We have an invisible king, but He’s all over the earth, and the kingdom is growing, and it’s been tried to wipe it out over and over and over, but we’re all still here,” Robertson said in a video clip uploaded to Instagram earlier this month.
The caption on the post further expounded on his message, “This doesn’t just encourage me — it gets me fired up. I hope it does the same for you. We’re part of an eternal kingdom that will never expire and can never be crushed. The evil one has tried time and time again to wipe it out, but he never will. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords, and he will always triumph.”
Last year, Robertson shared another inspiring post on Instagram, in which he expressed his amazement at how many people have sought the Lord after hearing about the good news of Jesus on his podcast, Unashamed. “It amazes me how many people show up at our church to get baptized and say it’s because they heard about Jesus on our Unashamed podcast. That’s the Lord’s doing, not mine. But getting to show you who he is and what he’s done for us is something I don’t take for granted,” he wrote in the post.
Robertson added that he has experienced what it is like to live without the presence of God and how life-changing the experience is to then accept Jesus Christ as your savior and only hope for salvation. “I know what it is to go from living like God is dead to believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I know what it’s like to realize it’s not all hopeless,” he said. “Turning to Jesus was the best decision I ever made. I want that hope and mercy for every last one of you.”
The famous duck hunter encouraged people to go vote for his podcast to be considered for the “Podcast of the Year” award so the Gospel can continue to be spread. “They tell me even more people are listening to our internet Bible study now that we’re up for the Podcast of the Year award. If it brings the gospel to more people, well then count me in. You can vote for the Unashamed podcast till tomorrow at klovefanawards.com,” he concluded.
The Christian Tribune also reported on comments from Willie Robertson, who discussed how important it is to spread Christianity and share the Gospel. “Whether I’m studying the Bible with someone and trying to teach someone, or if I’m just literally trying to figure out some of the answers to life, I always just go into the Bible and see what it says,” he said, illustrating the wisdom in the Bible.
