“Every Child Is A Gift From God”: President Trump Praised As ‘Most Pro-Life President” In History During Annual Celebration

President Donald Trump shared a powerful message during the pro-life movement’s annual March For Life event held in the nation’s capital in remembrance, and in perpetual opposition, to the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing the termination of pregnancies. Though the decision has since been overturned at the federal level, the culture war over abortion and battle to defend innocent unborn life remains.

As background, President Trump became the first sitting president in American history to attend the march when he did so in 2020. This came on the heels of successfully appointing three new Supreme Court justices over the course of his first term with the explicit intent of reviewing some of the most contentious and superficial rulings previously made by the nation’s highest court.

Speaking from the Oval Office for 2026’s gathering, the president released a pre-recorded video thanking attendees for braving wintry conditions and proclaimed the gift from God that is each child and human life.

“Hello to everyone at the March for Life. For 53 years, students, families, patriots and believers have come to Washington from every corner of the country to defend the infinite worth and God given dignity of every human life,” the president began.

“In 2026 as we celebrate 250 years since our Founding Fathers recognized the right to life in our Declaration of Independence, I want to thank every single one of you who was out on this winter day, a beautiful day, but it’s winter nevertheless, to stand up for the unborn,” he continued.

He then referenced the aforementioned historical moment. “Six years ago, I was proud to be the first president in history to attend this march in person. Since then, we have made unprecedented strides to protect innocent life and support the institution of the family like never before. There’s never been anything like it.”

Continuing, Trump touted his ability to nominate and see benched three individuals committed to defending life and the founding documents. “In my first term, I was honored to appoint judges and justices who believed in interpreting the Constitution as written. That was a big deal, and because of that, the pro-life movement won the greatest victory in its history. Now the work to rebuild a culture that supports life continues in every state, every community and every part of our beautiful land.”

“This is a battle that must be fought, must be won, not only in the corridors of power, but above all, in the hearts and souls of the people. That is why, under the Trump administration, we’re strongly defending religious liberty. We’re bringing back faith in America. We’re bringing back God. We have stopped forced taxpayer funding of abortion at home and abroad,” he added.

Concluding his remarks, the president shared his administration’s latest efforts and accomplishments to defend and protect life. “We’re championing faith-based adoption and foster care and supporting our parents by investing $1,000 into an account that will grow over time for every newborn baby. With your help and support, we will continue to fight at the eternal truth that every child is a gift from God. Thank you and God, bless America.”

White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt shared the video. “President Trump is the most pro-life President in American history. Watch his powerful video message to the March for Life,” she urged. Indeed, watch his great speech below:
