Former Playboy playmate Jenny McCarthy revealed Charlie Kirk’s September 10th assassination helped complete her transformation into a ‘devout Catholic.’ McCarthy elaborated on this religious shift in a podcast appearance with Turning Point USA’s (founded by the late Charlie Kirk) Alex Clark.

McCarthy began her remarks just by noting the courage it took to speak out against mainstream narratives. In the case of Kirk, his political opinions are well known; McCarthy famously was one of the first big celebrity voices to express concerns within the medical community after her son was diagnosed with autism in the late 2000s.

“If you know what Charlie was doing, you would know it was such a gift and it was so good to especially, you know, I understood his journey so much in terms of putting yourself on the line. Yeah, I personally understood what it was like to get threats. I’ve been threatened my whole career, and since I’ve come out, and I know that courage it takes to stand in front of people, to tell your truth, to go on shows, to get beat up, to get trolled. So I had respect, such respect for him,” she said as it related to the bravery he showed every time he got on stage or recorded a video.

McCarthy then opened up about her personal faith-based revival in the wake of Kirk’s horrific murder. “We just have become devout since Charlie’s passing,” she shared, before commenting on the idea that Kirk was prepared to martyr himself for a cause he believed so deeply in. “I feel like Charlie knew exactly what he was doing, yeah, and I know now that he knew the sacrifice he was making, and watching his memorial and feeling it.”

Speaking about his Arizona memorial a bit more, she realized she wasn’t alone with her religious awakening. “Couldn’t you feel it around the country, you guys around the world, like I felt it, the mass awakening, oh, 100% and the people that didn’t and don’t, I don’t judge them, you know, they’re just, they’re not there yet, they’re not there yet, you know. And I pray for them too. I just want Charlie to know that.”

“And I know he knows this, because he could see us all. He changed the world. He saved the world. I mean, imagine having that as your legacy. You shifted to. You brought all those people closer to Christ Yeah, like it’s what a what a gift…you can feel, you feel his spirit. You feel Charlie here,” she finished, addressing how being in the same studio as Kirk used to have a special aura.

Writing on Instagram, the account ‘Jesus is the only way to heaven’ summarized the full conversation. “Actress Jenny McCarthy opened up on a podcast recently about how the passing of Charlie Kirk helped her to fully surrender her life to Jesus Christ. On the Culture Apothecary podcast, she opened up about how the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk changed her relationship with Jesus in a profound way. Though she had been raised Catholic and already knew God, she says that witnessing the impact of his death helped her completely surrender and devote her life more fully to Christ.”

“McCarthy described how she turned immediately to prayer, worship, and Bible study, feeling God draw her heart closer in a way she hadn’t experienced before. She called the response to Kirk’s passing a “mass awakening,” saying that many people — including herself — were brought nearer to God through the sorrow and reflection that followed.”

“Her honesty about grief, faith, and spiritual renewal is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, God is at work — drawing hearts back to Him, deepening devotion, and revealing His presence in unexpected ways. McCarthy’s testimony is not just a celebrity story; it’s a testament to the reality that God meets us where we are and invites us into a deeper walk with Him.”
