Following his release from the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) company, “Elias,” whose real name is Jeffrey Sciullo and who is now going by the name “Elijah,” has decided to use his large fan base and platform to help turn people toward God by promoting the Gospel. In fact, Elijah is already doing so: he posted a video to TikTok in which he speaks about the Gospel.

Beginning the video, Elijah explains the Gospel and why what happened to Jesus on the cross is so important, saying, “The good news of the Gospel is Jesus.” Continuing, he says, “We need to make a big deal about what went down on the cross.”

Building on that, Elijah said that what has happened since then and what happened before then needs to be viewed through the lens of the cross, which he said divides human history. “We need to see everything through the lens of the finished work on the cross. You know, that event that splits human history in half?” the former Elijah said.

Continuing, he returned from the importance of the cross to explaining the Gospel generally, getting to the basic root of Christian belief and saying, “We know that God entered into fallen humanity. The Word becomes Flesh. He lived among us. He lived a perfect life. He was crucified, he was buried, and on the third day, he rose again. And then he ascended on up into heaven.”

Adding to that, Elijah noted that what his death and resurrection means is the forgiveness of sin, of God taking the burden of the cross for us. He said, “So this is amazing, because he died for the forgiveness of sins. What a gift that is right there, but it doesn’t stop. It turns out he included us in every step of the way. His crucifixion became our crucifixion. His barrier, our barrier. And then he raised us to a newness of life, united with him.”

Finishing his story of the Gospel and what it means, Elijah said, “And then he seated us in heavenly places right next to the Father. It’s us in Him, Him in us. It’s complete unity. There is no distance between you and God and the universe, and he did it all because he loves you.”

Then, turning from his rendition of the Gospel to his take on the miraculous nature of it, he said, “Guys, this is amazing. Amazing news, and there’s something to be excited about, and we need to understand the spiritual reality. And it’s a free gift on top of that — it costs Jesus everything. It costs us nothing.”

Building on his point of how special and miraculous the Gospel is, Elijah rhetorically asked, “So what do we do? What do we do this this good news?” He said that what we should not do is think that we’re really the ones bearing our own crosses: “It is not, ‘God has done his part, now I have to do my part.’ No, God did it all. If you think you have to pick up your cross every day, I ask, whose cross did Jesus carry?”

Rather, it’s focusing on realizing how incredible the good news of God’s salvation of us is and glorifying Him. Elijah said, “So what do you do with a free gift that is such great news? You just enjoy it. When you enjoy Jesus, you are glorifying God. That is the good news. Let’s not lose sight of that.”
