Evangelist Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) recently shared the gospel with over 24,000 people in Vietnam. The event was held at the Cần Thơ Stadium earlier this week, where thousands were hungry to hear the good news of Christ, leading to well over 1,000 individuals making the move to give their lives to Jesus.
Sharing images of the event on X, Graham wrote, “The Gospel transcends all languages and cultures. What a privilege to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ in Cần Thơ, Vietnam, tonight! I told the nearly 14,000 people in the stadium that there are two types of blindness—physical blindness and spiritual blindness. We praise God for the hundreds of people whose hearts were moved and they responded to the invitation to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior and follow Him as Lord of their lives! #SeasonofLoveFestival @BGEA.”
The BGEA shared a clip of on X of Graham sharing the Gospel with the crowd with a caption that read, “I pray for many Vietnamese people to come to know the Lord Jesus. Many have beliefs in tribal deities that add fear & uncertainty to their lives, in huge contrast to the deep peace that only Christ can bring!” In the video, Graham informs the crowd the sheer brevity of the decision to follow Christ, a matter of heaven or hell.
Many on social media reacted to the major evangelistic effort being undertaken in the foreign nation. Offering prayers for those in Vietnam who do not know Christ, one person said, “I pray for many Vietnamese people to come to know the Lord Jesus. Many have beliefs in tribal deities that add fear & uncertainty to their lives, in huge contrast to the deep peace that only Christ can bring!”
Another person in the comments section wrote, “Praise the Lord! Vietnam belongs to Jesus! May He keep these believers safe, and may they shine ever so brightly with His light to cast away every darkness in the land. Amen.” Watch Graham sharing Christianity with those in Vietnam below:

The Christian Tribune recently reported on other comments from Graham where he prayed for the United States over the weekend ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The reverend offered the prayers at an event for President-elect Donald Trump in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he warned that “evil” is “before us.”
Taking to social media, Graham stated, “Tonight I had the privilege of praying at an event in Greensboro, NC, for President Donald J. Trump. I went in a private capacity, not representing any organization.” He added, “It is always a privilege to point people to the only true hope we have — the Lord Jesus Christ. He is what America needs most. Thousands of people prayed together this evening as we asked for God’s help.”
