In a quiet, touching moment amidst otherwise Democrat-manufactured turbulent times in Minneapolis following the deadly shooting of a leftist agitator, a man approached a police officer and prayed for him in the January cold of Minnesota. The scene was captured by a Fox News team covering the protests that both preceded and followed an ICE agent’s deadly use of force against a woman ramming him with her vehicle.
For additional context, 37-year-old Renee Good had joined with other protestors and agitators on the streets of Minneapolis to impede efforts by Kristi Noem’s Department of Homeland Security officers and ICE agents attempting to carry out lawful deportation arrests. Good brazenly confronted officers with her vehicle, ultimately blocking their path along a narrow road. Her callous indifference to their requests to move soon escalated to her accelerating into an ICE agent as she sped away from them. Only after her speeding vehicle connected with the officer’s body did he fire into the vehicle.
“We know that it has not been easy for you guys,” the unidentified man says upon approach, before offering his appeal to God. “Father God, I just thank you for Xander. I thank you that you have said in Romans 13 that these are your servants You have called them to serve. And God, I pass your protection. We bless you, brother, thank you for his confidence. Lord, just bless them and keep you safe. And Lord, we pray for attorney that there would be love between the people and the officers in Jesus. I appreciate you more than you know,” he finished.
As written on Facebook and garnering more than two million views, time slowed for a brief second as a man in the area walked over to a police officer assessing the scene and can be seen and heard “asking God to bless the officer with protection.”
“FOX News camera captures the touching moment a Minnesota man walks over to a police officer at the scene of a deadly ICE shooting and prays over him, asking God to bless the officer with protection,” the post stated, with comments immediately pouring in describing the extremely difficult working conditions of first responders, particularly in urban centers, while also bemoaning the fact that the community’s relationship with police didn’t have to be confrontational except for the radicalizing narrative offers by Democrat leadership.
“I pray every day for the safety of police, ICE, the military, firefighters and paramedics. It’s not often reported but firefighters/paramedics are also under fire. My son was an EMT and had guns pointed at him 6 x till he quit for his family,” one comment wrote.
“Just imagine instead of tearing down our law enforcement. We welcomed into our communities more. These kids have nothing. I remember cops hanging out at rec centers. Checking in on kids. Having coolers of drinks. Telling them if they need anything get ahold of the precinct and ask for them. They’ld [sic] shoot basketball with you. The last 4 years there has been an even bigger push against LEOs. But people forget. They’re really your neighbors. They live beside you, down the street from you and in the same neighborhoods,” explained another.
“Look at that. We can be civil and united and care about everyone. Why is this not contagious like the division spreading? If you listen, there are more people there, speaking to the other officer,” noted a third.
