In yet another powerful event showing the incredible revival of faith ongoing amongst America’s young people, hundreds of students at the University of Alabama decided to put their faith in Christ and were baptized en masse in an on-campus fountain. The incredible conversion event occurred on the night of Wednesday, March 27, on the Alabama campus.
Jennie Allen, a Christian author and speaker, took to Instagram to report on the event and describe how it unfolded. Speaking in the video, she said that thousands of students gathered for the event, and then hundreds of them decided to be baptized once they heard the good news of the Gospel just before Easter.
Captioning the video, Allen said, “It happened again! Last night at the University of Alabama thousands of students gathered. Hundreds responded to the gospel and hundreds were baptized. People are asking how does this keep happening? It’s this simple- to quote Macy. They “are just ready to be a child of God.” God is moving. Next week- University of Georgia!”
In the video, Allen introduces one of the girls deciding to be baptized in the fountain, saying, “This is Macy, and tonight she decided, ‘I wanted to surrender my whole life. I want to give my life to Jesus.’ And so she said, ‘Okay, let’s do this thing tonight.’ And we’re about to do it. So is there anything you want to say?” Macy, in response, said, “I’m just ready to be a child of God.”

This isn’t the first time that Allen has posted about such faith events on college campuses. Writing about a similar event at FSU, she said, “It’s happening again! FSU Baptisms! And they haven’t stopped. Hundreds of students came forward to trust Jesus. We can’t explain what’s happening apart from the Spirit.”
Further, in a paragraph of text overlaid on top of the video of the dancing, converted college kids, Allen wrote, “4500 Florida State University (one of the biggest party schools in the nation) students confessed struggles and sin tonight. Hundreds come forward to trust Christ. And this is them singing and dancing as they head to spontaneous baptisms.”
Captioning the powerful video post, she wrote, “God keeps doing it!! They confessed their sin. They came forward in droves tonight to trust Jesus. We baptized hundreds in a fountain usually used for partying and worse. And it’s all just the beginning. It literally is everywhere I go right now. Revival is here. And there is no explaining it- when it’s God! #FSU #baptisms”
Commenting on Allen’s post, people left supportive messages about the mission and the baptisms. One, for example, said, “Amazing! 🙌 In contemporary culture where reality and virtual reality, acceptance and affirmation, everlasting truth and false narratives have never been more conflicted and blurred, these college kids are thirsty for living water that nourishes their souls! Only a supernatural savior can satisfy. His name is Jesus! 🙏🏼❤️”
