Internet Erupts With Support After Elon Musk Declares He Agrees “With The Teachings Of Jesus”

Tech mogul Elon Musk, whose various ventures include Tesla, SpaceX, and X, the latter of which is often credited with helping secure Donald Trump’s successful re-election bid in 2024 after restoring speech rights on social media, sent shockwaves on the platform he now owns after responding to a post suggesting he needed to be evangelized and brought to Jesus Christ.

“Someone needs to evangelize Elon Musk,” a user by then name of The Art Of Purpose posted in a now-viral threat. “Who will lead him to Christ?” Though not tagged in the post, the mention of his name prompted the former DOGE leader to enter into the comments section.

“I agree with the teachings of Jesus,” Musk stated in a terse, single-sentence reply. Immediately, users across the internet jumped in, praising the world’s richest man and also offering words of encouragement to help him seriously explore what the implications of his comment meant.

“You are so close,” one user said. “Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one gets to the Father but through Him. He lived a sinless life and died a sinner’s death on the cross and rose again on the third day so that you could be set free from your sins.

The same comment continued, writing, “Accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Repent of your sins. Believe, and you will be free. I am praying for your salvation, Elon. God bless you.”

Another chimed in saying Musk was almost there by recognizing what a Christian world meant to individuals and communities. “Brother you are so close,” the account wrote. “I’m rooting for you.”

The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, a Catholic, celebrated the response from Musk as well. “Always a good thing to do! But if one of Jesus’ teachings—and a teaching he repeats—is that he is God, what does that imply for our own lives and actions?” he posited to the X owner.

“One can just imagine how much better the world would be if everyone lived by the golden rule. The left thinks more state control will make the world a better place. But some self control to do what is right toward others would actually make the world better,” contributed yet another user.

This wasn’t the first time Elon Musk had ventured into the Christian waters. Speaking to members of the Christian satirical group The Babylon Bee in an undated video, he said he wouldn’t get in the way of people who believed Jesus saved lives and affirmed he had received the holy sacrament as a baby.

“But hey, if you know, if Jesus is saving people, I mean, I wouldn’t stand in his way, you know, like they’ll be sure I’ll be saved. Why not?” Later addressing a joke about time for him to be baptized after the powerful comment, he said he had been.

“Yes, I was baptized. They dunked me in the water when I was just a baby. I even had, like, you know, the blood and water Christ , kind of weird, you know, if you’re a kid, like, you get to give you some weird tasting, you know, let’s get in a wine. Yeah. Like, what the hell is this?

“I remember thinking that was just crazy when I was a kid, I like this, like, whoa, you know? I mean, even as a metaphor, it’s kind of odd, you know. So it’s like, I’m sure to be doing alcohol to minors,” he joked of communion.
