Far-left Democrat Senate Candidate James Talarico again stirred major controversy after invoking the Bible to defend his heinous view of abortion up to and even past the moment of birth. He justified his stance of terminating innocent, human life on the grounds that since the topic was not broached by the Messiah then it was open season on unborn babies.
For context, Talarico has long been criticized for his abhorrent theology he claims is rooted in Christianity. He has called God ‘non-binary’ and said transgender-identifying kids were some of his most cherished people on earth. Now, he can add using the Bible to defend the termination of viable fetuses and developed infants to the list.
Speaking on the Jamie Kern Lima podcast, Talarico used the oft-deployed tactic of politicizing the Bible despite not believing in it himself. He claimed that the silence on the subject conferred authority to human beings to decide their own morality on one of the most fundamental aspects of Western society, that being the right to life.
Of course, for all of his supposed biblical knowledge, Talarico conveniently ignores the story of Abraham being commanded by God to sacrifice his first and oldest son atop a mountain, only to be told at the last moment of the test to cease his actions and sacrifice a ram instead. In that story, it is clear God does not want us to take the lives of our children.
Adding to that, Psalm 139:13 states, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” while God tells the prophet in that “Before I formed you in the belly I knew thee.” In addition to the fact that God created Adam in His image and that even science confirms unique life is created at the moment of inception (and libs love trusting the science!), it would seem that, in fact, the Bible does address the issue, if not directly.
Nevertheless, there was Talarico explaining away quite casually a procedure that ends the life of a human. “Jesus never talks about abortion. The Bible is silent on abortion, and when that happens with a social issue as important as abortion, we Christians have to take scripture as a whole, and we’ve got to try to make some kind of ethical determination,” he said.
Watch that insane moment below:
Curiously, Talarico decided that since the Bible doesn’t explicitly mention the fact that abortion is and ought to be considered a grave, moral injustice, it conveniently meant that people should decide for themselves what is considered ethical. And it just so happened to be that his conclusion was to leave it up to far-left communists to make that determination.
As the left is wont to do as well, he declared the matter shouldn’t be decided by the federal government or even the states, and that it shouldn’t even be legislated at all on any level. According to the oxymoron idea of leftist logic, letting abortion run rampant because that’s not interfering, and only putting limitations on abortion is interfering.
