A clip of Justin Bieber sharing his testimony regarding his Christian faith has recently circulated across social media.  Over the last few years, the celebrity heartthrob has increasingly spoken about his Christian faith and how he came to trust Jesus.

During the short video, Justin explains how he came to a point where he cried out to God to reveal himself.  “I asked, God, if you’re real. I need you to kind of show me,” he said.  Bieber further detailed how he began to seek after God. And I think it says in the Bible, if you seek me, you will find me.”

Justin added that he set aside the things of this world and fixed his gaze upon God.  “And rather than seeking after these other things, I just kind of started looking to God,” he said.  The pop star also spoke about appreciating the magnitude of what Christ did on the cross for humanity.

The singer continued, “And he showed me, you know, that I was worth saving, that I was worth dying, across the board, that I was worth in my life was worth that, that I was worthy. And showed me, you are. You’re worth it. you are. I died for you I love you. I forgive you, your retained, your mind, I love you, obsessed with you.”

The Christian Tribune recently reported on other comments from Justin Bieber, who explained what made him decide to follow Jesus Christ.  According to Bieber, he had always maintained some degree of belief in Jesus, but had never implemented his teachings in a meaningful way.

“I believed in Jesus, but I never really like, you know, when it says following Jesus is actually turning away from sin,” he said.  “What it talks about in the Bible, it’s like there’s no obedience. There’s no faith without obedience, so it’s like I had faith about like, ‘Oh, I believe Jesus died on the cross for me,’ but I never really implemented it into my life. I never was like I’m going to be obedient.”

“I think it was my perception of who Jesus really was, you know.  I’d had really bad examples of Christians in my life who would say one thing and do another, so they were the direct example of who Jesus was. That’s why I didn’t take it as seriously because I didn’t have a good example,” he continued.

Justin further articulated how we are saved by the grace of God and not our own good works.  “The way I look at my relationship with God and with Jesus is I’m not trying to earn God’s love by doing good things.  God has already loved me for who I am before I did anything to earn and deserve it. It’s a free gift by accepting Jesus and just giving your life to him, and what he did is the gift,” he added.  Justin Bieber is just one of many celebrities and other high-profile figures who have openly discussed their faith in Christ.
