Kat Von D Claims Christian Faith Makes Her Feel “More at Ease”

In recent years, famous tattoo artist Kat Von D abandoned her involvement in the occult and witchcraft and turned to Christianity.  In recent comments, she shared her journey in faith, illustrating how her relationship with Jesus Christ has made her feel more at ease.

During an appearance on Allie Beth Stuckey’s “Relatable” podcast.  “I kind of, give [my husband] the credit,” she said. “I came downstairs and he just said, ‘Hey, babe, I think we got it wrong. I think we got a lot of things wrong.’”

After assessing her life and the path she was headed down, Von D explained that when a friend shared a sermon from Pastor Jack Hibbs, it led to her further exploring Christianity.  “I started just kind of reevaluating, kind of going down the list of what I’m doing with my life and what my perspectives are.  A friend had sent me a sermon from Pastor Jack Hibbs, and I loved it. It really spoke to me and answered a lot of questions I had.”

From then on, she and her family began “watching sermons every Sunday.” This further ignited a curiosity within Von D to start reading the word of God. “I just desired more and more, and so I just started studying the Bible,” she stated.

Von D illustrated that, while she was raised in a Christian home, her faith is far more meaningful now that she genuinely pursued it as an adult.  She continued, “When you can fall in love and learn as an adult, it’s much more meaningful than when you’re a child, just doing it because this is what we do, you know?”  This is reminiscent of the experience many believers have, who genuinely come to faith of their own volition later in life despite being raised ostensibly Christian.

She proudly proclaimed, “I’m on fire for Jesus.  I don’t plan on this dimming out. The more and more I learn, the more and more excited I get about things and the more at ease I am about what’s happening in this world.”  The tattoo artist took to social media where she illustrated the outpouring of love she has received post-baptism. “People were just coming out of nowhere and wanting to give me a hug and congratulate me and welcome me to the family,” she said.

In 2022, Von D made the decision to abandon her fixation with occult practices that stand in opposition to Christianity. “I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content?” she shared on social media.“And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”

Furthermore, she ultimately decided to get rid of any paraphernalia after having clarity about the ongoing spiritual battle around her.  “Right now, it’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light.”
