Christian actor Kevin Sorbo recently delivered an inspiring message to Christians in America following former President Donald Trump’s landslide victory against Vice President Kamala Harris. The “God’s Not Dead” actor that the country must move forward “no matter who’s president.”
Sorbo, who publicly voiced his support for President-elect Donald Trump, maintained that Americans must come together and find unity. “Once we have who we have … people have to go, ‘OK, what do we need to do now to try to bring the country together in some way,’ because that’s the more important thing out there, more than anything, no matter who’s president,” he said.
However, the actor maintained that politicians on both sides of the aisle, Republicans and Democrats, need to be held accountable and “called out.” Sorbo pointed out that voters are disgruntled after they have been fed “blatant hypocrisy” and “blatant lies.”
Sorbo added, “I don’t care what your political party is. You see the destruction that Washington, D.C., has done around this country and around the world as well. We need to find a path to truth. We need to walk the road less traveled with Jesus and make that road a super highway, is what I say.”
“I tell people all the time that feel uncomfortable praying, ‘Look, guys, it’s easy. It’s like we’re doing right now,’” the actor continued. “When I lived in LA all the time, with LA traffic, I got tired of listening to music or listening to audiobooks, and I would just have a conversation with God.”
Sorbo, who is outspoken in his faith, has also discussed the importance of prayer, emphasizing that people shouldn’t overcomplicate having a conversation with God. “It’s very easy to have a conversation like that with God,” he said. “I think people, they just get caught up in, ‘I’ve gotta say ‘thee’ and ‘thou” … and I’m going, ‘No, you don’t have to say ‘thee’ and ‘thou.’ You just have to have an open mind and an honesty about what you’re talking about, because He’s listening.’”

In other faith-related news regarding the election, The Christian Tribune reported on Donald Trump’s remarks praising God for saving his life in his post-election victory speech. Referencing the horrific failed assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, in which Trump narrowly survived a headshot, he maintained that it was God how had spared him for a purpose.
During his speech to the excited crowd of supporters, Trump said, “Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason.” He added, “And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness, and now we are going to fulfill that mission together, we’re going to fulfill that mission.”
Noting that there are challenges ahead, the soon-to-be 47th president vowed to get the job done. “The task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit and fight that I have in my soul to the job that you’ve entrusted to me. This is a great job that there’s no job like this. This is the most important job in the world,” Trump said.
