Greg Laurie, the famous evangelist who is the subject of “Jesus Revolution” and whose programs have helped bring thousands upon thousands of Americans to Christ, has unveiled a new project, one he hopes will bring young Americans closer to Jesus. That project is a new, animated series that he hopes will reach and influence America’s kids.

Such is what Pastor Laurie unveiled when speaking in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network. In the interview, he opened up on his past and spoke about how he intends on animating young Americans and bringing them closer to Christ.

Speaking about his drawing skills, relevant given the new show is animated, Pastor Laurie said, “It goes back to my childhood. If you saw the ‘Jesus Revolution’ film, you remember that young Greg was always drawing, and that’s actually very true. When I’d be waiting for my mom in smoky bars, late hours into the night, I had to do something to amuse myself.”

Continuing, he added that, thanks to his drawing and art, he has long been an admirer of cartoon artists like Walt Disney and has wanted to do something similar. He said, “I just love cartoons. It was my goal in life to one day become a professional cartoonist, and I was serious about it; I was doing full-blown comic strips when I was still very young.”

To bring that dream to life and bring young American’s into Christ’s church, Laurie is launching a new animated TV series, “The Adventures of Ben Born Again and Yellow Dog.” On its website, the show is described as “a faith-based animated series produced by Pastor Greg Laurie, combining entertainment with a powerful evangelistic message. The series explores themes of faith, redemption, and hope through compelling storytelling and vibrant animation, making it a must-watch for audiences seeking inspiration and encouragement.”

The show’s website also provides a prayer for those looking to turn their lives toward Christ. It is, “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

Laurie, commenting on the show and how effective it already is at getting kids to think about God, said, “I’ve already heard stories of kids coming to the Lord watching this cartoon because it’s entertaining.” Continuing, Laurie added, “It’s fun. And it’s evangelistic, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an evangelistic cartoon.”

Continuing, he added that bridges need to be built to young people to help draw them into Christianity, saying, “We live in this culture, in this world, and I want to build bridges to people — not just people my age, but to young people” He added, “So, I try to keep up on what’s going on.”
