Congresswoman Haley Stevens, a woman who voted almost 98% of the time with former president Joe Biden and only 6% with Donald Trump, practically excommunicated herself from the Democrat Party forever with a stunning endorsement of the Trump-backed Republican Mike Rogers over the man who she lost to in the primary for Michigan’s open Senate seat, Abdul El-Sayed.

“Hey Michigan, as you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away. And he’s right, and that’s why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today,” she began.

“I don’t belong in Abdul’s campaign. I do not stand with Hassan Piker, who gets trafficked on our college campuses. A dear friend of mine earlier today was saying that education is on the ballot, and she’s absolutely right. And what our students see, what our children see, and who we are as Michiganders, is not hate, and is not what we are getting out from our Democratic nominee right now,” she said.

“So, I am just one person. I love this state, as some of you know. I’ve you know run a campaign saying that it was a love letter to Michigan, and I’m here to declare who we are as Michiganders. This is Phil Hart’s seat for the U.S. Senate. This is the conscience of the Senate right now, and our Michigan moment. And I’m just letting you know where I am,” she declared.

“I’m still a very proud Democrat. I still very much believe in everything I voted for and said, and I’ve worked really hard, and will continue to do so in all the ways life’s opportunities afford. Godspeed, and love you all so much,” she said in the shocking announcement. Watch Stevens speak to her disgust with Abdul’s priorities and revocation of her endorsement for him below just days before the crucial midterm elections:

The video shared by the Democrat congresswoman followed her appearance at a Detroit church with the Republican candidate Mike Rogers, where she explained she loved her country more than her party. “My vote for Senate, I am just one vote, as is every Michigander. My vote for Senate is going to be with Mike Rogers, and I will tell you why,” she began.

“Because we have to stand with country. We can’t stand with hate. We can’t stand with Hassan Piker. Friend of mine was talking about how education is on the ballot, and it’s very true. Now there’s a lot of young people looking at this election. You know, I was a young person once, and we’ve got to make a choice about who is standing with them,” she went on.

“I think that Chuck Schumer is going to become the majority leader. You know, and I think that there are incredible Democrats and incredible activity taking place across this country. I stood with my party, and I was booed off the stage, and you know, it was violently shouted down. You know, I was up there with other Democrats,” she added.

“Those people who are on that stage with me, they’re going to make their choice. The ballot box is still very personal and private. And today, in a moment of faith tied to my faith into this great city. By the way, I’m standing here with a guy named Mike Rogers, and there’s another guy named Mike, who ran the city of Detroit for 12 years, and a lot of Detroiters voted for him. And you know he kind of looks like this guy,” she continued.

“And you know what happened with that, Mike? You know he stepped out of his party. He put up his hand for a brief while. He was running for governor. You know I don’t know everything that’s going to happen. You know, and and all I can do is lead with love and integrity. This was a personal and private decision. I woke up this morning and I decided to go to church, and I am here with the person who I am voting for for United States Senate, and that is Mike Rogers. Congressman, if you think of what matters,” she finished.
