“Not Really Fair!”: World’s Top-Ranked Female Tennis Player Calls Out Biological Men Competing Against Women

The world’s formerly top-ranked female tennis player took a decisive stand against the participation of biological males in women’s competition, citing it as unfair and the opposite of the pursuit of equality that the political left loves to pretend to care about. The comments came in a fiery press conference where Aryna Sabalenka provided her unfiltered remarks.

Writing on X, one account positioned the blunt message as ‘devastating.’ “The world No. 1 in women’s tennis, Aryna Sabalenka, unleashes a devastating and unfiltered statement: ‘It’s vital to protect fairness. Biologically, men are much stronger than women. It’s not fair. It’s not equality. It’s not women’s sports if we let biological men compete against us.’

The account added that the words of the Belarussian star tennis player sounded like another prominent female athlete on the other side of the globe, Sophie Cunningham of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. “She sides with Sophie Cunningham and sends a clear message: women are not going to keep staying silent while they steal our titles, podiums, and opportunities from us,” the post continued.

While the X post correctly captured the core sentiment of the number one female tennis player in the world, the post did not accurately capture her remarks. Speaking in a post-match conference with reporters, here was Sabalenka’s full response: “I think it’s really important to keep the fairness in our tour, and it’s obvious that biologically, right, the men are way stronger than women,” she began.

“So I feel like it would be not really fair for the woman to compete against biological men. So it’s I believe it took them a little while to make the decision, and yeah, I support it. But for me, I’m focusing on myself, on my goals. You know, whatever it takes. If they want to test us all, I’m happy to do that. It’s pretty fair, and let’s keep it that way,” she finished.

As for the aforementioned Sophie Cunningham, she set off her own firestorm of woke controversy after an interview with ESPN tried portraying her as a villain of the league, inserting her white skin color as a continual talking point as it relates to fan support and brand deals while also making her respond to the nickname of ‘MAGA Barbie.” However, she was also unapologetic when commenting on transgenderism and women’s sports, saying she would always weigh in to ‘protect women’s sports’ and that she feels qualified to do so because she is one and playing in one.

“You say she’s a ‘MAGA Barbie,’ as some corners of the internet have taken to calling her? Projection, she says, because of what she looks like and where she’s from. She’ll weigh in on how to ‘protect women’s sports,’ she says, because she’s in that world and feels qualified to speak to that world,” the ESPN interview wrote at one point.

“’I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I’m like, ‘I never once said that,’’ she says. “I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men,’” the article continued.

Sabalenka has been ranked number one in the world for a total of 107 weeks now, placing her 10th all time, and she has finished in that spot to end the year twice, in both 2024 and 2025. She is the winner of 24 singles titles, including four of the coveted majors. She is also a former world number one female doubles player. She is second all time in career earnings for a female tennis player.
