In a woke rant which took the internet by storm, Lex Dunbar, a self-described “Euthanasia Doula” and “black non-binary trans masc,” gave a sermon on far-left gender ideology. Her remarks bounced between dozens of woke talking points in a manner that aggravated conservatives and undermined her progressive arguments.
For context, this video highlights a deep theological divide within Christianity over LGBTQ+ acceptance, which has raged hotly for decades. While conservative Christians adhere to a traditional view of gender and believe that the Bible sets strict guidelines for sexuality, liberals seek to bring woke identity politics into the church.
In any case, Lex Dunbar started by parroting tired woke ideology. She began her April 27, 2025, sermon by saying, “Let us remember the black capable, pregnant, capable people who are trying to decide about the logic of bringing a child into this world that will be at risk of being killed by state-sanctioned, militarized, and anti black policing.”
Continuing her whining, she criticized the history of American Christianity. She claimed, “You check your clothes, your label on your clothing. You’re probably wearing mixed materials. You cherry-picked scriptures. Our country has a history of people resourcing scriptures to oppress others, because this story has been repeatedly used to discuss pregnant capable people’s abortion rights, then I think it’s incumbent upon us this morning, friends, to sit with this very complex coronavis and pregnant capable people, because we’re talking about reproductive justice this month.”
Unable to say the word “woman,” the woke minister turned her screed to the “pregnant capable.” Dunbar stated, “Pregnant capable people all over this country are trying to make the best decisions they can for their one beautiful life. Many are trying, with little income, to make the best decisions they can for their lives and the lives of their loved ones.”
Continuing her sickening defence of abortion, she said, “They are trying, with little access to medical care, to make the decisions that they can for their well-being. They are trying, in the midst of political legalized prescriptions about their bodies, to make decisions about whether to have a child that politicians insist, on one hand must be born, but on the other hand cared middle to nothing about once born.”
Still not done, the pastor continued to rattle off woke buzzwords. She complained, “This being Black History Month, let us remember the black, capable, pregnant, capable people who are trying to decide about the logic of bringing a child into this world that will be at risk of being killed by state-sanctioned militarized and anti black policing.”

Finally bringing her rant to a close, the woke pastor said, “Let us remember the reproductive rights decisions that were made by persons like political giant Barbara Lee, who chose to have an abortion. Let us remember if we can make history of the unnamed enslaved women who did all they could to not bring a child into this world as a slave.
