Famous actor Russel Brand recently shared his experience at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., which houses many prominent artifacts of Christianity and the word of God.  Earlier this year, Brand made a monumental conversion to Christianity, surrendering to Christ and getting baptized.  Ever since, Brand has been outspoken about his faith to his platform of millions.

Brand wrote in a social media post, “The Museum of the Bible is more than a museum – it is an immersive and elucidating experience. In many ways, it felt as if I was partaking in a visceral encounter with God.”  He shared several other pictures of him in the museum looking at various pieces of Christian history.

The Christian Tribune recently reported on news surrounding the Museum of the Bible, where a new exhibit was recently unveiled showcasing the Meggido Mosaic, an amazing piece of art from what is believed to be the oldest Christian worship hall in the world.  The art also demonstrates the deity of Christ, clearly referring to Jesus as God, a member of the Holy Trinity.
The Museum of the Bible recently released a promotional video explaining the magnitude of the mosaic.  “For almost 1800 years, the most important archeological discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls has lay buried in the holy land beneath the grounds of a maximum security prison in Megiddo,” a promotional video stated.  The narrator continued, “Its tiles hold history, a series of Inscriptions outside of the Scriptures, the very first physical proclamation of Jesus. Christ is God, an unlikely cast of characters, a group of women leaders in a Roman Centurion tell us the story through perfectly preserved mosaic inscriptions.”
The Christian Tribune previously reported on comments from Brand where he recounted his baptism experience and how it changed his life.  “Like when I was I was put in that water, you know, they baptized me backwards, and I came out there and I sort of felt the Holy Spirit,” he said.  “Although, you know, given what’s in that war, it could have been E coli,” he joked, referencing the dirty conditions of the river.

“I wish I hadn’t thought that I was too clever for the religion of my grandmothers. I thought, I thought that I was too smart. I thought somehow that I knew what was in the Bible, even without reading it. I get the idea. You know, angels, Jesus, reading it is blowing my mind on a daily basis,” Brand continued.

The famous actor concluded, “I didn’t make a choice, Tucker and I mentioned the way that you operate as well, that there is a kind of surrender. I’m not saying that I am without shame. I’m not saying that I’m without fear. I’m not saying that at points I don’t feel compromised and uncertain. I’m saying that since being baptized, since becoming Christians, since surrendering to Him, I feel his presence continually. I feel it now I feel it in this moment, and I feel free.
