Ultrawoke Democrat Senate James Talarico, who defeated Houston-area Representative Jasmine Crockett for the party’s candidacy in the hotly-contested Texas Senate election in November of this year, doubled down on his absolutely absurd position that God and Jesus are nonbinary.
For context, Talarico was recently asked on a popular left-wing podcast called ‘The Bulwark’ by host Tim Miller to resurface 2021 comments in which he declared ‘God is nonbinary.’ He said he was intentionally being provocative, in part to counter Texas Republicans from passing legislation prohibiting biological males from youth sports. “I made it on the floor of the house when the extremists in the Texas legislature were trying to pick on kids who were different,” the woke Democrat said of the transgender debate in which Republicans were trying to keep sports fair.
More concerning, however, is that Talarico actually believes what he said. He defended his position from both a political and theological standpoint. “While it’s maybe provocative politically, I don’t think it’s controversial theologically. Most Christians believe that God is beyond gender,” Talarico remarked at one point in his ‘Bulwark’ appearance.
He expanded on that thought, citing the Apostle Paul. “In Christ, there is neither male nor female. So, if you have a problem with what I said, don’t take it up with me, take it up with the Apostle Paul.”
Of course, whether he is simply incorrect or purposefully rewriting fundamental biblical beliefs is only known to him. While God is depicted as male, and for good reason, it is obvious that God transcends such animal distinctions. That being said, it’s another thing entirely to therefore reach the conclusion that being above male or female somehow means He then descends into other humanly classifications such as non-binary, a term that was invented within Talarico’s lifetime.
The Christian Tribune has previously covered Talarico’s progressive take on fundamental biblical beliefs. In previous sit downs, he has similarly defended his position that God would be part of the LGBT community by again referencing the incorrect belief that just because God transcends male and female classifications that it somehow confers the modern concept of non-binary.
“The first two lines of the Bible, the first two lines in Genesis, use two different Hebrew words to describe God. One is the masculine Hebrew noun for divinity. The second is the feminine, Hebrew, noun for Spirit. God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between. God is non binary. In Genesis, 126 God speaks of God’s self in the plural, saying, Let us make human beings in our image to be like us,” he continues.
“That’s the infinite multitude of God, the masculine, the feminine, and everything in between. Trans children are God’s children made in God’s own image. There’s nothing wrong with them, nothing at all. They are perfect. They are beautiful and they are sacred. Bullying children is immoral. It’s a sin, a special kind of sin,” he finishes.
