As Donald Trump pursues his America First Agenda, he is further exposing Democrats’ seeming ambition to prioritize illegal aliens over citizens. Recently, an Obama-appointed judge sought to prevent the current administration from deporting two planes full of criminal illegal aliens, reported to be Venezuelan gang members. The Trump administration said it did not need to comply, given that the planes in question were already over international waters.
Instantly, the Democrat narrative of Trump defying court orders fed into the long-standing media portrayal of him as every unprintable word imaginable. Of course, as Democrats plot their way to midterm victories and an attempted takeover of the White House in 2028, opposing Trump on everything simply because he’s Trump is landing as well as you’d expect.
A brand-new NBC News Poll showed Trump receiving record-high approval numbers, and topping the list was the his handling of the border. All told, 56% of respondents said what they were seeing was a ‘positive change.’ This obviously leaves many people wondering what they’d expect him to do differently. Not deport anyone or deport even more?
Trump was elected on immigration as much as anything else, and as his administration abides by the colloquial motto of “promises made, promises kept,” Democrats find themselves on the wrong side of public mandates. As Vice President JD Vance recently wrote on the social media platform X in response to a story circulating about the administration “ignoring” a court order, he said: “There were violent criminals and rapists in our country. Democrats fought to keep them here. President Trump deported them.”
Along those same lines, the popular account End Wokeness posted an image of tattooed gang members being walked through a high-security prison while facetiously asking “You mean to tell me you voted for this kind of treatment against the migrant gangs?!” He then added, “Yes. Yes we did.”
A comment on the post generated near-universal support of the programs implemented by the Trump administration. Yes, the people that voted for Donald Trump wanted to see actions taken against the violent illegal criminals that apparently had no issue entering the country over the past four years and almost seemed invited at time.
One user commented in response to the rhetorical question posed by End Wokeness. “Yes. Yes we did! We are in a spiritual battle of Good vs. Evil and we are on the side of good,” they wrote. Another user responded by saying: “Legacy media barely ever reported on the victims of these gangs. Remember this when legacy media goes out of business and whines about not having jobs anymore.”
As another pointed out, “[t]hey don’t ever stop to think about Laken Riley or any of the others that were brutally raped/murdered. But they are soooo upset that the criminals are being treated like criminals. Liberals are NOT Americans. They are NOT my brothers or sisters.” A quick scroll through the comments of the original post, which received nearly 3 million impressions at time of this article’s publication, reveals a mix of memes supporting the move and comments like the ones reference here.
One of the biggest takeaways is that Americans are upset to see corporate media and Democrat politicians go out of their way to defend the violent illegal aliens and barely utter a word of support or condolence for the victims at the formers’ hands. By portraying Trump as the villain for letting Americans feel safer, the electoral outcomes in November, intuition, and poll numbers suggest this is a losing strategy.
