Former collegiate and NFL star quarterback Tim Tebow continued his crusade against combatting the exploitation of children in jaw-dropping congressional testimony that revealed horrific realities of illicit content featuring minors running rampant across the country. Tebow gave a particularly enlightening, albeit terrifying, testimony to Missouri Senator Josh Hawley.

For context, Tebow appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee on March 3rd for a hearing titled ‘Lost and Exploited: Confronting Child Trafficking and the Failure to Protect America’s Most Vulnerable.’ He spoke on behalf of children caught up in abuse and trafficking and shared how little is being done to confront it. During an exchange with Senator Hawley, he discussed how prolific the issue was while showing a map of known instances of content being downloaded, shared, or distributed.

Hawley set up Tebow to describe the horrors by having his team present a poster featuring a map of the United States and red dots. “Let me put up another poster that you reference and ask you to explain what it is. It’s a diagram of the United States, a map of the United States with these pinpoints all over it. Can you tell us what this image depicts?” he queried of Tebow before handing the response over to him.

“Yeah, that’s a DOJ database, and every one of those red dot maps is a unique IP address that is downloaded, shared or distributing child rape images, almost all under the age of 12. And that’s just a six month screenshot of it. And there are over 338,000 on there. And if you could also look, there’s blue dots on there. You can’t really see them, but the blue ones are the ones that are under investigation,” Tebow explained.

Tebow was then asked about Operation Renewed Hope, which aims to address the exploitation and abuse of children. He said, “It’s bringing together law enforcement and victim identification specialists from all over the world to work together in the same room with the best technology and the best training. And it’s amazing what happens when you do that, to be able to see the results operation.”

Watch Tebow explain to Hawley below:

Continuing his explanation of the program and the hope to identify and save children, Tebow had this to say about hiring additional staff and adding resources. “Imagine our chance of fighting back against this evil if we go from 10 to 200 we have much better odds. Could you imagine if any business or any area in life, and we would say you got at least 89,000
boys and girls that you have to identify, and hey, here’s 10 people that are amazing, and they’re the best, and I love them very much, but it’s 10 people’s job to do that.”

“And what area do we think we would be successful with those odds and those numbers, and that’s one of the things that that renewed hope Act changes. And then I would say another thing is, I would ask that we would fully fund the icacs, so that the icacs could have all their funding, because they do amazing work in so many of the states and localities and districts around America that do this work as well. And so I think both of those would be two big asks that will make a radical difference.”
