Donald Trump’s ‘border czar’ Tom Homan called out the woke Pope’s sheer ignorance on issues of mass migration during a passionate defense of his own Christian values coupled with his disappointment in seeing the first American pontiff speak about issues on which he just has no real idea how bad things are.
For context, Homan’s remarks come at a time of heightened tensions between the America First White House and woke Vatican. The Pope, for his part, has repeatedly called for a bastardized approach to Christian love and acceptance of immigrants, ignoring both the impact they have on the lands and peoples they invade as well as the horrors they endure while migrating. President Trump has taken issue with the Pope’s view and ramped up rhetoric after the Pope decided to opine on Iran.
And so it was that while talking to a gaggle of reporters outside the White House, Homan pointed out the many atrocities affecting children, women, and migrants of all kind as a result of open border policies and immigration in general. He bluntly said Pope Leo XIV and others of his political persuasion simply “don’t know what they’re talking about.”
“Look, I’m not gonna speak for President. Speaking for myself, a lifelong Catholic. I wish they stay out of immigration. They don’t know what they’re talking about,” the border czar began after being asked his “view” of Trump’s Truth Social account posting a meme representing himself as Jesus Christ, which itself was more of a commentary on the Pope and his far-left ideas rather than his self-styled image as the Messiah.
Continuing, Homan said, “[I]f they wore my shoes for 40 years and talked to nine year old girl raped multiple times or stood in the back of trailer, back to track the trailer and 19 dead aliens at my feet, including a five year old boy that baked to death. If they understood the atrocities that happened on open borders, I think their opinion would change, and I welcome discussion with any of them, because they don’t understand illegal immigration is not a victimless crime where President Trump had the most secure border in the lifetime of this nation.”
“Right now, lives are being saved. He’s saving 1000s of lives a year because he has a secure border. Human traffickers were out of business, right? The cartels are going bankrupt because of that secure border. I wish they’d understand that, because if they did, I think they would have a different opinion,” he stated.

As one such example of Pope Leo’s far-left view of social, on March 18th he wrote a truly bizarre social media post replete with countless woke buzzwords in a jumble of language. In it, he again weaponized Christian love and tolerance to demand Western nations practice self-ruination so that third-world migrants could take advantage of their homelands.
“All men and women, especially Christians, are called to fix their gaze on those who suffer, on the pain of the lonely, and on those who are emarginated for various reasons, for without them we cannot build a just society. Only together can we build communities of solidarity capable of caring for everyone, in which wellbeing and peace can flourish for the benefit of all. Caring for the humanity of others helps us to live our own lives to the full,” the post said.
