Donald Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, shared a now-viral photograph of key members of the administration’s cabinet huddled around together wit heads bowed in a prayer that took place before the president’s triumphant State of the Union speech on February 24th, 2026.

“The quiet moments are often the most important. Last night just before Cabinet members walked onto the House floor for the President’s State of the Union, we joined together in prayer, giving all thanks and praise to God, and praying for the clarity and strength to listen to Him, serve Him, and do His will,” Gabbard posted to the social media platform X the day after the speech.

The busy Trump administration official even found time to respond to comments under the post, saying it was ‘so important’ to carve out a space to pause and be still for a minute. “It means that the most important insights often come when we pause and are quiet. In those moments, we can better understand what matters and how to act with purpose,” a user wrote that prompted the comment. Take a look at the image below:

As The Christian Tribune has reported on often, Donald Trump’s cabinet is comprised of God-fearing individuals who are not afraid to speak up about their faith. HUD Secretary Scott Turner has led groups in prayer, and War Secretary Pete Hegseth uses his position to lead the Pentagon in Christian prayer as well.

The president himself has not been shy about professing his faith. On the campaign trail leading up to the 2024 contest between himself and Kamala Harris, he constantly remarked about how America could not be made great again without God.

Addressing that again at the State of the Union, Trump honored the late Charlie Kirk and mentioned the revival of faith that has swept the nation, crediting the assassinated podcaster and political mastermind with particularly helping influence younger Americans.

“I’m very proud to say that during my time in office, both the first four years, and in particular this last year, there has been a tremendous renewal in religion, faith, Christianity and belief in God. Tremendous renewal,” Trump began as he segued from attacking Democrats for their horrendous policies and listing off the successes of his administration.

Continuing, Trump credited the renewal of which he boasted to former podcaster and political savant Charlie Kirk. “This is especially true among young people, and a big part of that had to do with my great friend, Charlie Kirk, great guy,” the president reminisced.

“So last year, Charlie was violently murdered by an assassin and martyred, really martyred for his beliefs. His wonderful wife, Erica, is with us tonight. Erica, please stand you….Thank you. Erica, been through a lot. In Charlie’s memory, we must all come together to reaffirm that America is one nation under God, and we must totally reject political violence of any kind,” Trump then declared.

“We love religion and we love bringing it back, and it’s coming back at levels that nobody actually thought possible. It’s really a beautiful thing to see,” he finished.
