The late Charlie Kirk, taken down by an assassin’s bullet on September 10th, 2025, continues to impact the lives of millions of people as his speeches and campaign events live on through social media. At the one-year anniversary of his horrific death, users on social media have begun sharing many of them as one way to keep his memory and impact alive.
In one such video, Charlie Kirk was doing what he did best: Speaking with brainwashed students on college campuses and dismantling their arguments in front of a large crowd. Kicking off the conversation on the matter of birthright citizenship, a young man stood at the microphone and asked Kirk if he thought children should be deported as soon as they were born in the United States, to which he immediately countered with a succinct and powerful “yes.”
Kirk went on to deflect useless questions from the woke interlocutor as to whether or not America should be encouraging millions of illegal aliens and their anchor baby children to become productive members of the American dream, and later clarifying the American Dream is real, and also that it doesn’t apply to “every person around the planet.”
Later in the exchange, Kirk had to lay out birth tourism and the cacasing reality that one visitor’s baby will eventually become the seed from which endless future generations of ‘Americans’ will grow. He then took a direct stand against the weak argument that his opinion ran counter to two-hundred years of precedent, thus somehow making it wrong.
Masterfully, Kirk pointed out that Roe V. Wade was also wrongly ruled and later correctly overturned, so it’s possible misinterpretations by the Supreme Court exist and can be remeided. This latter part was in reference to the obvious intent of the 14th amendment to free slaves after the end of the Civil War but then somehow got conflated to include children of illegal aliens and visa holders.
“The Founding fathers, first and foremost, never wanted all of a sudden a pregnant woman to be able to get on. They didn’t have airplanes back then. Go across the ocean, and all of a sudden they become a U.S. citizen,” he observed in one retort, before getting the college student to concede arguing about the 14th amendment was entirely different because it was drafted decades after the nation’s founding.
Kirk then ended with a slam dunk, explaining what citizenship mean. “And they [previous iteration of SCOTUS] got it wrong, just like how they got Roe v. Wade wrong, and we got that repealed. The point being is the Supreme Court can get things wrong. The idea it’s very simple. It’s that if you think you can just get on a Delta Airlines flight from Paris, and all of a sudden, your kid becomes a U.S. citizen,” he brilliantly lectured.
“That devalues the meaning of what it is to be a citizen. Everybody here has a unique story of what your parents did for allow you to live in this country. That’s called a social compact. Some of you guys, your parents came here, and your ancestors came here in the 1700s. Some of them came here in the early 1900s. But if all of a sudden you can gain entry and cut in line, it dilutes the sacrifices, primarily of the greatest generation from World War II, that allowed us to live here, and it is an insult to them to say that we can live in a free society,” he finished.
