A former Navy SEAL and self-proclaimed Christian conservative is seeking to replace a seat being vacated by incumbent Tommy Tubervill as the latter – and America First stalwart – seeks to replace outgoing governor Kay Ivey in Montgomery. Jared Hudson released a powerful video while campaigning in front of supporters and followed up with an impressive resume to fight the Establishment in Washington, D.C.
“My name is Jared Hudson, and I am running for the U.S. Senate to fight for Alabama,” the declared candidate wrote on X, before jumping into his credentials. “I am a Christian Conservative. I am a Navy SEAL sniper and law enforcement officer.”
Continuing, Hudson provided an overview of his other ventures, saying he founded an organization targeting child predators. “I am the founder of Covenant Rescue Group, where we target predators who buy and sell children. I am a warrior who puts the mission first, no matter the cost,” his post added.
Then, Hudson put out the most important aspect of his campaign – that he would fight for Americans and not the Swamp. “I am Washington D.C.’s worst nightmare. I am running for the U.S Senate, not to join the club, but to tear it down and put We The People back in charge. I am asking you for two things: One, your prayers and two, your vote if you live here in Alabama. God bless, and let’s get to work,” the post finished.
In the video itself, echoing the language of the post, Hudson again begins by noting his Christian faith, conservative values, and orientation toward family. “I’m a Christian conservative. I’m an Alabama family man. I have a beautiful wife and three beautiful little girls,” he says.
He later describes the battles he’s endured and how that’s prepared him for the political chaos of Capitol Hill. “I’ve spent my life taking on the hardest fights, staring down enemies on foreign battlefields and serving as a law enforcement officer right here in the state of Alabama. Never, never backing down when innocent lives are on the line, is what defines me. That’s who I am. I’m a warrior who puts the mission first, no matter the cost.”
“Right now, Washington’s broken, the swamp is real and is full of millionaires, lobbyists and career politicians who chase TV cameras, waste our money, cut backroom deals and forget the reason that they were sent there. I’m fed up with it, and Alabama’s fed up with it,” he went on.
Hudson also noted he would be an ally of Trump, much like Tuberville before him. “I’ll be a strong backup for President Trump to keep this America first agenda going and drain the swamp and deliver real results, not symbolism without substance.” Watch Hudson deliver his powerful speech below:
