An unidentified Christian praying on a college campus on behalf of a female student was violently accosted by a Muslim student, eventually taking a punch to the face, and deflecting several more before he was stopped by intervening police and put in handcuffs. The entire episode was captured on a camera worn by the Christian and later narrated in the aftermath.
Speaking into the camera alongside footage from the incident, the man who was on campus for the ostensible purpose of praying for a female student, the Christian said he fought back against personal and physical attacks. Footage picks up as the interaction turned violent. “Don’t do that! Oh, you’re going to be in trouble, sir. You’re going to be in trouble, sir,” the man can be heard telling his attacker during one tense moment.
Following the scene of one of the attempted attacks, the man describes what happened. “After sharing Jesus at George Mason University and praying for a female student, a Muslim student from Afghanistan approached me and accused me of accosting his friend and called me a pedophile. The student punched me once on the face, and he tried to punch me and kick me several more times. He also threatened to kill me, and the cops came and took him to jail,” he explained.
“Pray for this young man to encounter Jesus and be completely transformed. I have to go to court and testify, so please pray for wisdom, favor, protection, and peace for me and my family, this will not stop me from preaching the gospel. Keep sharing Jesus. Keep praying for people, and I will keep loving people in Jesus, Jesus, Jesus’ name. Amen,” he finished.

One social media account shared the clip and stated in no uncertain terms what he wanted to see happen to the student, a young man from Afghanistan with a visa to be in the United States. “Muslim student from Afghanistan attacked a pastor for talking about Jesus and praying for another student at George Mason University,” the account posted. “Behavior like this is unacceptable. Especially with the fact that he is a guest in another country and should respect the country’s laws and it’s [sic] people His visa should be revoked and he should be sent back.”
Other users chimed in with similar feedback. “Deport, Deport, Deport. If you are a guest in another country and you behave like this you are an enemy of the culture and the country. Imagine what would happen to a Christian in a Muslim country doing this. And that’s the problem with allowing unfettered immigration from countries and cultures diametrically opposed to the West. It’s not racist or anti anything, it’s just common sense,” one commenter wrote.
“Behavior like that don’t [sic] belong on an American campus. You don’t get to come here, enjoy the liberty, then put hands on a preacher for talking about Jesus. Revoke the visa if the facts hold. Respect the people who welcomed you, or don’t stay,” a second accounted said.
“GMU is in the heart of uber-leftist Fairfax County, which has a Soros-funded prosecutor who goes very easy on migrants and a sheriff who does not honor ICE detainer requests. I’m surprised he was even put in cuffs,” a third person wrote.
