Recently, members of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team hosted a massive evangelical event at the university’s campus. They passed out 10,000 Bibles donated from the surrounding community. As the event continued and drew increasing attention from those on campus, many could be seen stepping forward, ready to get baptized and give their lives to Christ.
“These Ohio State football players just did something on campus that I have never seen before, a free event put on by some of the Buckeye’s biggest stars collected 1000s from the Ohio State community and grew even more throughout the night,” a narrator said in a mashup of the event posted on TikTok.
“It was all about sharing their faith in Jesus, which started with everybody coming together to worship, and the energy was amazing. Each of the players went up to share their stories of how their relationship with Jesus has changed their lives and how much God loves each and every person in the crowd,” he continued, expressing the power of communally worshipping Jesus.
“Courageous attendees took a leap of faith to come up front and pray a prayer to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. And it only gets better, late into the night, with everyone taking notice, person after person made the decision to get baptized, which is a public profession of their faith, and lives are going to be changed forever,” the narrator concluded.
Commentator Nick Adams shared the clip to X, writing, “WOW: Ohio State football players hand out 10,000 bibles, lead thousands of students to Christ!” Many users commented underneath the video expressing how delightful it is to see such evangelical action taking place on America’s college campuses.
One person said, “As a Christian and die hard Ohio State fan this really makes me happy!! It’s so awesome to see young people coming into Christ. Nothing has greater power to heal the hearts of men and women than turning your life over to Jesus. I pray this revival of faith continues to spread far & wide.”
Moreover, the shared love of Christ bridged the gap between intense football rivalries in the Midwest, as they joined together in celebration of college students coming to know Christ. “As a diehard Michigan fan, this is super cool to see. Jesus will always come first and be the most important thing. Kudos,” one person commented. Another Michigan fan said, “As a Michigander, I am putting aside football rivalry and giving a big virtual hug to Ohio State Players. Jesus is way more important than football. God Bless!”

Another cited a powerful piece of scripture detailing the healing and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. “2 Chronicles 7:14 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 1111-444,” they wrote.
“This right here is on a whole other level… this is the proper way to use your platform for the good of humanity… there aren’t too many things that are bigger than The Ohio State University.. but this is definitely bigger. This country is missing Jesus in their lives. I don’t think this will ever be topped,” another person said, praising the Christian message that was spread at Ohio State.
