Famous actor Rob Schneider recently appeared on “The Tucker Carlson Show,” where he discussed a wide variety of topics with the conservative media icon. Notably, Schneider requested to conclude the interview with a powerful, heartfelt prayer that was inspiring to hear.
“You said you wanted to end on a prayer,” Carlson asked the actor as the segment was coming to a close. Schneider said, “Yes, I would.” He bowed his head and said, “We’ve been our own worst enemies most of our lives, and we’ve all injured ourselves seriously as a result of a justified resentment over a slight rome.”
He continued, “Doubtless, there are many causes for resentment in the world, most of them providing justification. But we can never begin to settle all the world’s grievances or even arrange things so as to please everybody.”
Schneider emphasized the power of the Christian principle of forgiveness, stating, “If we’ve been treated unjustly by others or simply by life itself, we can avoid compounding the difficulty by completely forgiving the persons involved and abandoning the destructive habit of reviewing heart hurts and humiliations.”
Concluding his prayer, Scheider said, “Thank you for this time. Thank you for this time Jesus, and allow me to speak my mind with this wonderful conversation and with my new friend, Tucker and God bless this great country to protect her children. God bless my daughter. God bless all the daughters and all the people that are having problems in the world. We thank you for all these opportunities that you give us in Jesus name we pray, in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.”
The Christian Tribune previously reported on Schneider discussing his Christian faith, where he explained how “Jesus only lets you stray so much,” before reeling you back in with his divine love and forgiveness. The conservative comedian outlined the power of Christianity and how it has changed him for the better.
Describing the unique proposition of Christianity, he said, “There are other religions out there that say, ‘Well, kill your enemy; hate your enemy’ and there are ‘infidels.’ And we have a religion that says, ‘Love your enemy, love thy neighbor as thyself … love others.’ What a beautiful way to go through life.”
He added, “If I am going to lead my life and be an example, as Christ compels us to do, then I have to do it. Even if it hurts, even if it stretches how I used to feel … and, once you forgive, the beautiful thing about forgiveness is it isn’t the person, it’s you. You end up feeling better.”
Faith in Christ has completely changed Schneider, where he noted, “I don’t know if I can tell dirty jokes anymore. I don’t know if I can. I don’t know if I’m going to. I have an act I’m doing now; I don’t know if I’ll do it again next year.” He continued, “Just some of the bad words, I go, ‘Maybe I don’t want to say those words anymore.’ I don’t know. I also think it’s important to not only talk to the converted but to bring people in, and the best form is to show by example.”
